These Memories

Can't stand these memories,
Keeping them locked away,
Deep down.

Trying to break away,
I'm reminded,
Of old pains, regrets, hatred.

Don't want them anymore,
Can't forget,
Even though,
I've forgiven.

These memories,
Rip my heart out,
I bleed.
To death.

Good memories,
Fade with time,
Happiness once felt,
Dies away.

Hope is lost.
Pain is gained.
As life and love,
Drain away.
