I’m merely lonely for a dance.
Will you perhaps take the chance
To assist me in this chore?

The moon shines on, the music plays
To beat a mortal heart away
How can you this waltz ignore?

And should you go about your way,
Not stay this night to with me play,
You will regret forever more;

Come! within! Why do you pause
As if there’s something left to lose?
You tremble, then, upon the shore
