• By The Sea

    Once, by the sea
    There was a hut,

    The one living occupant
    Of this ominous place

    Was a gloomy man,
    Dreary, full of grief.

    And this man
    Truly knew

    The pain of loss
    And the ache of age.

    For this single man
    Was the last on earth.

    And as he lay
    On his bed,

    He pondered
    Days gone past.

    His son’s smiling face
    His families embrace.

    This lone man
    Had lost all

    And He still
    Lives now

    In the hut,
    By the Sea.
