• Behind this mask lies a tortured face,
of scars and pain for you may no trace,
    the inconceivable ties that bind,
This mask to flesh, past left behind,
Stare away from this horrid man of hell,
locked away with the hunchbacks bell,
try not to see his face,
for certainly you will find no grace.

A beauty a wonder, that I must tell,
this beautiful girl, eyes that pierce like nails,
    shimmering radiance, brightness glows,
as her long dark hair does flow,
    people worship her every move,
as her beauty only seems to improve.

the monstrous man longs for escape,
as his horrid figure keeps him locked away,
    deep within his castle walls,
he paces through the catacombs and halls,
longing to see the outside world,
the walls around start to close and twirl.

the beauty locked away in room,
never let lose and stuck to a broom,
the wicked parents that she so hates,
keeps her locked away within the gates,
longing and longing more to be free,
she decides that she must flee,
she climbs down her mossy castle walls,
but she slips and begins to fall,
    she catches her grip,
    as she starts to slip,
and continues climbing down to the ground,
and before she knows it freedom she has found.

the horrid man still pace inside,
his want to be free still wont subside,
gripping his head and mask as he pace,
and suddenly to the castle door he race,
it flies open with an ungodly strength,
and the horrid masked man the moon he embrace,
he walks through the field shadowed by castle walls,
until he reach a forest, the cold chill leaves fall,
he walks through the dank woods full of loneliness and shame,
the horrid masked man without a name.

the beauty continues on, running away,
till she reached the foot of the forest and there she stay,
starring up at the trees not wanting to go in,
but then she hears dogs barking and the searching of men,
she enters the woods as frightened can be,
but she gets a since that shes finally free,
running faster and faster through the dark moon lit woods,
the danger that faces her, kill her it certainly should,
she stop in a clear opening, no one to be seen,
but then a suddenly a growling, the end this could mean,
out steps three wolves from beneath the wooded shade,
and out from her corset she draws a blade,
backing to a tree knowing shes soon to die,
she stares the front wolf dead in the eye,
it growls and it snarls as it comes even more near,
the beauty has never felt such loneliness and fear,
it lunges, attacks, biting at her arm,
she falls to the ground, the other two swarm,
they bite and attack and try to steal her life away,
all she can think is she wish she hadnt ran astray.

the horrid masked man walks slowly and numb,
as the cold chill reaches within so strong,
he hears a loud scream coming from near,
and he feels the vibrations of a woman in fear,
he rushes through the bush, thorns scrapping his sides,
knowing that somewhere a woman dies,
he comes to a clearing as the moon shines through,
and there stand three wolves over the beauty layed strewn,
there the blood catches his eye,
and anger rips through him, now all the wolves must die,
they turn to see this massive man,
and attack him biting his hand,
he throws one off hitting a tree,
and as it lay there the other two flee,
he walks to the beauty after a ferocious fight,
and knell down beside her, her eyes having no sight,
he strokes his hand through her long flowing hair,
and realize the beauty within the air,
he gently slides his arms beneath her,
picking her up gently her eyes open and his eyes meet her,
to weak to move she only gives a smile,
at the horrid masked man stands there shy as a child,
he carries her back to her home,
and nurses all of her broken bones,
    slowly she regains her strength,
wondering more and more what lies behind the masked fate,
the horrid man his confusion does rise,
"why does she not hide her wondrous eyes,
why does she not fear my horrid scared face,
that lay beneath the mask that cover my face."

    Nursing her the final hour,
he bends over with a warm towel,
to place on her head to wipe away the past,
    she slowly reaches up,
and removes the horrid mans mask,
he quickly falls and covers his face,
she kneels beside him with loving embrace,
she gently moves his hands aside,
and she then stares into his eyes,
he lay there with a tear,
she had unlocked his worst fear,
gently she leaned over with a kiss,
and at the moment his past was a miss.

He realized that her time stayed was to long,
and he must return her home,
his love grew stronger for her that day,
but he knew that she should be lead astray,
he waited for her to lay to rest,
and in him love did manifest,
he picked her up as she lay sweet,
and out the door the cold air he did meet,
he walked through the same forest they met that day,
and through the woods he walked so fray,
he reached the town the night tuned to day,
he reached the castle of the beauty's past,
he had to say goodbye he wanted to make it last,
she awoke in his arms knowing what he had to do,
she kissed him again and stares into his eyes,
    but suddenly the smile dies,
she hears the barking again and the searching of men,
they come to her and see his face,
they see the scars that shes come to embrace,
they blame him for her scars,
as the crowd sets out and roars,
they judge the mans horrid face,
calling him a monster it stings through his heart like a mace,
they start throwing rocks as the beauty begs them off,
but she cannot stop as they scold and scoff,
the men take chase of the horrid beastly man,
he run through the forest and back to his land,
he locks himself inside his dark castle walls,
and over the town a darkness forever falls.

the beauty she sit locked away in her room,
she stares out at the full glowing moon,
wondering if the monster will come back to her soon,
at night she can hear the cold weeping sobs,
as it brings the howling of the neighborhood dog,
she realizes its his heartbroken cries,
and at night her heart withers up and dies,
saved by a monster she saw his true self,
she saw the warmth in his eyes; they possessed a loving wealth,
a love lost trough the judgment of mankind,
no love like this one ever could find,
hiding behind masks is the ties that bind.
