He Chose You

• Description: a few days ago my boyfriend's best friend killed herself, he's heartbroken and he's considering taking the same way out. I am trying to comfort him and convince him not to do anything but I can only do so much. I wrote this to his friend, I can't give it to her really but I hope where ever she is she hears my plea.

You took away my true love
When you slit your wrists
Pulled the trigger on that gun
He loved you like family
I love him so much more
He cried so hard
He missed you so much
I told him I was here for him
But I don't think he heard me
He was doing so well
I took away his despair
Washed away his fears
Comforted him of his scars
Wiped away the stain of tears
Then you took your life
And he fell farther than before
He followed you
I don't know why you did what you did
I wish I had known you
I'm so sorry
But did you have to take him too
His heart still beats
But he's no longer here
I don't want to hate you
But I thik I do
You've caused him so much pain
That alone saddens me
But worst of all
Though I still have him
And he still loves me
He didn't choose me
He chose you
So I make this heartfelt plea
Please
Give him back to me
