I hear the grass is greener on the other side

I thought I should take look and check this out

I gazed o'er the fence to the "glory" beside

and saw a hell which faith many devout

I fell back aghast what foolishness I wrought

amazed that I thought t'was grace there'd be

and saw no good that was to be sought

I should have been content with what God gave me

I curl up and weep defeated and weak

I should have been meek
