-
I stand in the bathroom,
studying the mirror.
For what's that dark figure I see,
staring back at me?
I don't reconize it,
not one small bit.
But if it's a mirror,
shouldn't that person be thee?
All I know is that it's a monster,
and craves for blood.
It's eyes are cold,
and body pale.
Hey,
shine the light more, I think I can tell...
It's me,
the monster I now reconize.
But somehow,
it's to no surprise.
I hate my reflection,
I think I'm going to smash it.
Throw the monster away,
though I'll always have it...

- Title: Monsterous Reflection
- Artist: TiffanyTrippout
- Description: This poem reflects a time in my life not too long ago and represents how I felt less than three weeks ago. It explains how I didn't know who I was, but when I could finally see my "reflection" I didn't like it one bit, but I'll always have it.

- The monster in the mirror is a fine idea for a poem, but I think it's better served with an approach a bit less direct. Try not admitting so strongly that you're seeing yourself in the mirror, and leave the reader to guess.
