• THAT NIGHT

    The weather was sublime
    A summer sun
    It seemed like an eternity
    Surely it was a dream

    Night was falling rapidly
    We were on our way
Never shall I forget that night
    Never

    It must have been midnight
    We heard screams
    Commotion
My father was nowhere in sight

    Where is he?
    Do you see those flames?
    No one would listen
A corpse gazed back at me

    Here he is
    I had no more tears
After my father’s death, nothing touched me anymore
A dark flame entered my soul and devoured it
