Little angel, who layed its head down
Little angel, who sleeps so sound
A small ray of light to keep you warm
Is all you have in this black, cold swarm
The darkness is around you, but you have light
How is it you sleep so soundly amidst all this fright?
With blackness all around, what is it you dream?
With devils' hands reaching, you don't hear a scream
Yet you lie there without worry, smiling in your sleep
A small, little angel, unworried; with silence to keep
Little angel, who layed its head down
Little angel whose eyes open now
Little angel who stands without tears
Little angel who smiles, as there's nothing to fear
