• At this sight am I pained
    Beautiful bird, caged and chained
    Cooing vibrantly all but coy
    Singing songs, praises and joy

Of languid summers that should be spent by the shore
Spent visiting places, never seen before

And to my room am I confined
    To sympathize with the bird
    Our thoughts intertwined.

One in particular in our mind
"Where is the 'kindness' in mankind

    So we sit and wait
For them to determine our fate

We imagine what we cannot see
Idealizing what we never shall be

    At least never truly..
