  For the past few months I thought I was finally over my best friend. But it turns out I was only fooling myself and trying to forget about loving him.

Staring into your eyes, I realize that you are the one I need.
I thought I didn't need you anymore, that I was finally over you,
But I guess I'm not.
I don't know if I will ever be over you, my guesses are no.
I had been longing for so long to hear your voice and see your face.
When I finally got it, I wanted more.
I wanted to hold you close, and kiss you softly;
Run my fingers through your hair and stare into your eyes.
I know I probably won't get that wish, but I can still dream.
You said you still liked me, but I don't know if I should believe that,
Maybe it was all in my head.
If it was real, are you here to stay or are you going to run?
I guess time will tell what is to come.
