If you were here to break my chains,
maybe I would no longer have these blood stains.
If I could only see you once more,
maybe I wouldn't be lieing here broken on the floor.
If you hadn't left me that day,
then maybe these skies would not be gray.
If you hadn't seen me, crying in the field,
then maybe I would't have let that broken smile be revealed.
If that day never came,
then maybe I'd still be the same.
If I could only feel your embrace one last time,
then maybe I could feel the beat of your heart in mine.
