• Who do you think I really am?

A story that’s over before it began.

Just trying to share, while trying to hide,

with only an angel here by my side.

    Don’t call me a Savior

    that isn’t me.

If I could really save you

    I’d set you free.

    Don’t ask for a miracle

    that I can’t do.

    Truth is in the end

    your life’s up to you.

What can I say to make you believe?

That life can be beautiful even while you grieve.

Life is a canvas the brush’s in your hand.

You can paint yourself different or just try to blend.

    Don’t call me a Savior

    look at yourself.

You’re the one who’s still breathing

    without any help.

    I can’t hold your hand,

    promise that you’ll be fine.

    I can only share madness

    and thoughts in a rhyme.

Why would I take something I haven’t earned?

Those who say they are saviors should all be burned.

It’s okay to help and to selflessly give.

It’s those who do it for praise that I can’t forgive.

    Don’t call me a Savior

    call me a friend.

    A Savior has no one

    on which they depend.

    Don’t ask me to lie

    to give you some hope.

For the next time I fail

    it’s your life I choke.

When did I claim that I could save lives?

I just gave you options to help you decide.

Please believe in yourself and know I do too.

Your life’s in your hands the rests up to you.

    Don’t call me a Savior

    I’m just like you.

    My life isn’t pretty

    and I’m often confused.

I’ve been all the way down,

    but I got back up.

So I know you can make it

    if you don’t give up.
