• There’s this girl,
    She’s so alone,
Even right now in her house,
    No one’s home,
As she sits on her bed,
A silly idea pops into her head,
She picks up her cell phone,
    And dials god’s name,
She thinks to herself “this is so lame”,
    Yet she speaks
God it’s been a while since the last time that we spoke
I’ve got a lot on my mind
    I’ve learned that life isn’t a joke
    God listen, hear me out,
I’m tired of crying and having to shout,
    I need help to understand,
I need you to guide me,
    Lord take my hand,
It’s been a while since I’ve seen your face in the crowd,
I can still hear your voice,
But lately you’re not too loud
    God, I called you,
So I wouldn’t feel so alone,
    That maybe this empty heart,
Would be put in hands it could call home,
    She waited for a reply,
    And the phone suddenly rang,
She picked it up and it was some guy,
He and spoke with a western tang,
    Sweetie now you listen,
To what I have to say,
    I promise you little lady,
    That all will be okay,
    The phone clicked,
    And the call was ended,
    The girl smiled,
    And put the phone down,
    She looked at her room,
All of the things lying around,
She laughed to herself, knowing she'd be okay,
And all of the bad feelings disappeared
    They went away.
