Ivy blankets grow over the path of this long forgotten canal where weeping willows shed silent tears and darkness looms in history now laid deep in the musty foilage of yesterdays scream
I thought about you, about us, strangers tangled in an ethereal knot of beauty with gentle under-tones of soft skin touching the soul, a cool blend of you and me
I smiled, then cried holding on tight to the memory
I miss your touch on these lonely walks through deserted streams, wondering if magic lamps rubbed daily could wish you back, while fires dwindled in the hearth of time flown by sad to think about our lives gone passing, hidden in the shadows of the infant night

- Decent idea. Are you familiar with George Orwell? He would have told you to use simple words and better/more original imagry. If this is the style you're working towards, I'd take Ezra Pound's advice: "No ideas, but in things" - he was kind of like the father of modern poetry...Work on your images. You're definitely getting there. smile
