• Life passes us by
What seems to be way too fast
Our fingers slipping through the years
    Grasping to make is last

Nothing is ever what it seems
And maybe we will never truly know
    Forever left to be curious
Before we fall so far below

Whether it be short or long
    Time washes everything away
The hurt and love and tears
    Nothing can forever stay

A smile can light up a room
But does mine light up my eyes
Does it cover up the worries
Can it hide away the lies

One day we will all find a happiness
I'll give my heart as the token
    For everything I can remember
And for all the words never spoken

As the blossoms float to the ground
I feel my time slipping away
How far away is my future
    Where does my path lay

For a moment I would love to think
About where I'd like to go
Have time freeze for just a second
    I dearly need it so

    Where should I run to
    And also run to whom
    Perhaps to myself
And watch as I begin to bloom

    I don't seem like much
To them or to you or to me
But I don't want to be like others
And let my dreams escape and run free

Maybe one day we will leave here
Or maybe some will stay behind
I know I can never come back
    Because this life is mine
