Desperate for love
She buries herself in fantasy
Slowly losing touch
With reality
Her heart cries out
Her body aches
For someone to hold her
Before her heart breaks
Her fear is growing
And dying alone
Her terror is never finding
One to call her own
So to save her soul
Her very heart
She’ll bury herself in the fantasies
From the very start
And pray for the one
Who can make them all come true

Description:
Everyone has that fear every so often, will I ever meet that special someone? Or will I grow old and die alone?
As some as you might notice, the last two lines don't follow the structure of the rest of the poem, that was done on purpose, something I always like about Emily Dickinson was that in order to make certain lines stand out, she fall away from the normal structure of the poem. - Date: 06/19/2010
