• Try to find the lost man’s burden,
It’s a secret to even him.
A sense of nothing always overhangs,
    Tomorrow comes, will nothing remain?

“Why is it I try so hard…?”

Day by day, in and out,
He goes on, never with any doubt.
Surrounded by friends, the fun never ends,
But even still, a sense of nothing overhangs.

“What has brought me this far…?”

    He sees no reason,
For the changing of the seasons.
    No reason why,
    He always feels empty inside.

    “What is it that’s missing…?”

Sure he’s seen some rough days,
A few seemed to leave him in a deadly haze.
But what is it that's holding him down,
Making him feel like he just might drown?

“Sooner or later, something’s got to give…”

As happy as he may be,
He is starting to look inside and see,
    Something isn’t right,
There is no end in sight.

“No matter how hard I try, I think I’m just lost in my mind…”

    As he starts to forget,
His soul only begins to fret.
    It knows something is missing,
    Or rather lost…

“It feels like I’ve died, but I’m still breathing, still living a truthful lie…”

    Another day is dawning,
His poor lost soul is yawning.
Awakened to this bright new day,
He still bears the lost man’s burden.

“No matter how clear my presence is, I’m simply lost…”
