• Time is an obscure entity to me
    Its hands move on
    Ticking by the second I'll never again see
    In hindsight, I am its pawn.

    I know not how this dimension was found
    To me it's not so plain
    But I comprehend it has me bound
    By old age it lays its claim.

    I see its measures--
    The seconds, minutes, hours
    Its only treasures;
    They pass by starlit night as moving showers.

    It brings life
    In form of newborn babe;
    Into the world induces strife,
    Only to be ended by man and blade.

    Yet still all of this in spite
    I know not what is time
    Only of it's cruel bite
    And drops of citrus lime.
