I'll never forget this feeling of heart break.
This emptyness
you've given me, just because
you're in it for
somebody else.
Just because I
was a few hours late,
I've been rung out
to dry,
just an idea that's been passed
for the big time.
You've made it to
your goal,
and I want to try to tell you,
try and figure out the
words to show you that

I am here!

Even if I figure it out,
it won't even matter. I could never
force a choice
that you didn't think
you'd have to make
onto someone that I think
so fondly of.
Maybe this seems kind of silly,
maybe it looks just like a joke, too.
Trust me,
I'll never forget this feeling of heart break.
