Buried six to eight miles underneath Washington D.C., lies Philonius High-school. PHS is a school for those who want to learn magic, or just those who want to learn about magic... all races (except giants and merfolk, which we cannot accomodate) are welcome to Learn.
It was founded in 1901, by A Cowboy Werewolf named Romulus, A Native American Naga named Meldeth, a boot-legging Pixie named Lapithe, and a drow accountant named Arcania. Classes were orriginally taught by them, until their mysterious dissapearence in 1922
Philonius Campus is in the center of an industrialized under-ground Metropolis inhabited by wizards, Vampires, elves, werewolves, fairies, and all sorts of people! The "sunlights" in the gardens provide the light needed for grass and trees to grow. most of the vehicles and factories are powered by Chakra, but there is plenty of electrical power. They don't use nuclear power, as exposure to it can supress magical ability, and they don't use oil, it's too expensive, and emissions are a lot more harmful when they stay stagnet in the atmosphere, like they do under-ground.
