The Packs is about 2 packs of dogs and 2 packs of wolves. The dog packs are Fire and Ice Pack and the wolf packs are Moon and Sun. Wolfs and dogs hate each other but the 2 packs are friendly. They MUST stay on their own territories. If there is an issue then a pack can get help from another. The wolfs and dogs did agree on where they would stay Fire and Sun are down in the forest. Ice and Moon are in the mountains. The wolfs and dogs never agree with anything depending on how mean and cruel the leaders are and on how many fights brake out, but there has been peace for about a generation. But will things stay that way?

In a pack for dogs there is a leader, a deputy, the pack hunters, watchers, fighters, and apprentices. Every dog will learn to fight, hunt and watch, but depending on what you are best at is what you are.

Fire Pack

Fire pack can be a tranquil group, but their spirits are always up for a fight - as if a fire is burning deep within there souls! Fire pack has had loads of great leaders but the question is will it continue? Fire pack was created by the great dog Fire. He was like a god and but what he did was chaos. He burned things and made everyone suffer. His fellow friend Ice however saw his faults. He made him stop destroying the forest. Fire loved Ice, but he could not give in. His need to destroy was to great. He killed Ice, and only then he saw the error of his ways. Fire ended his reign of destruction, but warned everyone "If you come here my pack will not rest untill their burning souls are dowsed."

Ice Pack

The other dog pack is Ice Pack. They are smart and quick and has had wonderful leaders. They are now on wel terms with Fire pack. Ice packs first leader was named Ice. She was a white graceful dog and loved everything. She could blow ice and made the realm of the packs beautiful and quiet. Though she was killed when she tried to stop the devistating destrustion of Fire. Though she loved Fire, the love for the dogs was greater. It is said that her spirit returns to the earth every season to blow her ice again - leafbare. She is often refered to as the Mother of the Packs. Her sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Moon Pack

The more tranquil side of the wolves is Moon Pack. It was started by a male wolf named Moon who wanted nothing more than all the mountains. He tried everything to get rid of Ice, who also wanted to settle on the mountains, but he failed. The end verdict was to split it in half. Moon was told by the packs to be the moon at night. When he died, he became the biggest star and reminds the wolves that they will be joining him in the rankings in the meadow. Moon Pack is wiser than their founder, but are still quick to be angered.

Sun Pack

The hot headed wolvesof Sun Pack occupy the other half of the forest. Sun, the wolf who was the first leader, is known as the sun during the day. Wolves look up to her and know they will be joinning her and the ranking in the meadow. Sun was very mean and very territorial. Her and Fire used to fight all the time until Moon or Ice broke it up. Sun had the worst temper out of the four so wolves born into her pack are the most hot-headed.

Here is some information about the rankings.

Leader: the leader is the top dog/wolf. He/she will get the first piece of prey and will tell the deputy everything on what the pack needs to do. The leader will make anoncements and must go to battle. Leaders get 5 lives from the ancestors. A leader must tell what each pup will become. Being a leader is a huge responsibility. Leaders may have pups. Leaders have the last say in everything and tipically train the next deputy.

Deputy: the deputy is a little bit easy. The deputy is the dog who gets secound pick on fresh kill and help the leader as much as they can. Deputies will decide on how well you train your apprentice. If your master says you are the best at everything or if the leader likes you he/she may ask if you would like to be deputy. Deputies will automaticaly become leaders once the leader dies. Deputies get to make patrols and must go on some of them. If they are not on patrols they are with the leader. Leaders explain plans only to you and deputies are not allowed to tell anyone about there plans unless told to. Being a deputy does not change your romance life. Deputies may choose a mate and if you are female, births are OK as long as they don't affect your performance. A deputy gets an apprentice as well. The train the apprentice at what they were best at before they were chosen to be deputy.

Apprentices: the leader will decide your fate when you are an apprentice. Apprentices cdan train to be watchers, fighters, or hunters depending on what they are best at when they are pups. They have a test to decide. Their masters are assigned accordingly after that.

Masters: masters will be chosen by the leader. The master must protect and train their apprentice to do a certain duty. Depending on whether the master is a watcher, fighter, or hunter is how they train them. If the leader is the master, then apprentice will automatically be the next deputy.

Watchers: a watcher is a dog who watches over camp or territory. Each watcher will get a turn on what to watch. Some will go on patrol or watch the borders from certain points. When you are on border patrol, each dog will be at a corner and one will be in the middle. Two watchers are posted at the camp entrance and one will be posted near the nursery. Each watcher will at sunhigh and moonhigh. When the patrol returns or watchers return after being replaced they may go get food. They are not allowed to hunt or feed until their shift is over. For night watchers this is done by the moon. Nursery watchers must not only protect but listen for females who could give birth. You will get a fighter watch the nursery since you must go find the mate, any siblings, and the medicine wolf/dog. The deputy and leader must be told as well. The nursery watcher feeds the mothers and then may go get food afterwards. Watchers at the camp entrance trade off at sunhigh and moonhigh like regular watchers. The leader will assign your position that day, but you are always either a day of night watcher depending on your skills.

Fighters: a fighter is the most dangerous but most honnorable job in the pack. The deputy decideds whether you go on border patrol with the watchers or train. Fighters eat or sleep when they want, but they must practice their fighting techniques every day. Sometimes they are put on special missions or extra things around camp when there is no war and paws are short. The leader will assign the extra things.

Hunters: a hunter often leaves camp multiple times a day. They replenish the fresh-kill pile when it is low and move it into the cover of a den when it rains. They are required to hunt in pairs but may split up if they stay in close proximity. A hunter must be smart and have be a great scenter. You must be alert and very graceful. They can leave camp, sleep, and eat whenever they want. Though, they have to go hunting at least once before feeding themselves.

Mothers: mothers are in camp untill their pup(s) are born. They return to their den go back to their duty. Mothers will name of their pup(s) and must attend meetings when the leader sees fit. Mothers also have a say in when their pup(s) is old enough to leave the nursery and begin apprenticeship. Though the leader will decide what the pup will train as.

Elders: elders are old wolfs or dogs who have served the pack well and are ready to retire. Dogs or wolves who are handicapped come here when they can no longer perform in service to their pack.

Medicine dogs: the medicine dog is a huge thing. Medicine dogs are always the FIRST pup that was born without any siblings. If there are no only pup litters the leader will look through each litter and select the pup with the correct qualities. He or she will train become the MEDICINE DOG. The pup will then be trained by the current medicine wolf/dog. If by chance the medicine dog/wolf has died, the leader will train him or her. For a medicine dog/wolf to get an appretice they must request one from the leader. The next day the leader will visit the nursery and see if there is a pup ready to be appreniced that fits. If there is the ceremony will be held the next day. If there is not then they must wait. A medicine dog/wolf may not have pups and medicine dog must take care of any dog/wolf. Medicine dogs/wolves are very powerful and make the diagnosis on whether a dog/wolf will live or die.

If you die over the course of the roleplay, you can become A NEW DOG. Just ask a female pack member first if you can be one of her pup(s) from her litter. Also ask the leader before you make this decision.

As far as religion goes there are two different beliefs between the dogs and wolfves. Dogs believe their ancestors are the Angels while wolves believe their ancestors are the Stars. For the dog packs they have safe ground where a large stone sits. Dogs go their to be buried when they die, medicine cats go there to speak to their ancestors, and leaders go to recieve their five lives. No dog is allowed to speak when they are on the sacred ground of the stone. To speak to the Angels they just touch their nose to the stone and it glows blue. For the wolf packs they go to the Slope. Wolves go their when they die to be buried, medicine wolves to get their names, and leaders to get their five lives. They sit on the slope peak and howl and close their eyes. After a few howls you will fall asleep and meet with the Stars.

If you want to be an ancestor you must post only in either The Slopes or The Stone depending on whether you are a dog or wolf. Ancestors get to visit wolves/dogs in their dreams but can only say it in a way that doesn't tell them everything. Ancestors have rights to call off fights by clouding the moon or sun. You can also make a storm. If you want to start a war you must go visit the Angels and talk something out.

So that I know you read all of this, make sure to either add a smiley emoticon or PM me with the subject being "Stars and Angels". Make sure you do, cause if you don't I will have to ask you to go read it. If you need anything or have any questions just send me a PM.
