Mel Sammeah I dunno, for whatever reason I'm not good with Sheik in Brawl. I was amazing with him (I don't care that it's technically a 'her') in Melee but I'm just okay with him in the new game. The only noticible change is the down+a. He now kicks down at a slant...it's a move I used a lot in melee and I always screw up when I try it in Brawl. Also, changing from Sheik to Zelda or visa-versa takes /way/ too long now. In Melee, whenever I wanted to use one of Zelda's moves, I could quickly switch and attack. Now, it takes five or six seconds. At least you can start out with Shiek in this game. And her final smash isn't that good. I'm not saying Zelda/Sheik got it worse, but that's the only one I really use enough to talk about. sweatdrop believe it or not i used to use Shiek too in Melee and used him/her ( mrgreen ) in Brawl so i know where your coming from. and yes, down air being changed into the way it has is more of a letdown than a good thing. what's worse is the fact that one of his/her most useful moves was forward air, and in this it just blows, hard. i haven't seen a kill with that move yet and i doubt i will anytime soon. (somebody will probably prove me wrong with a video in a sec sweatdrop )
actually, i think Zelda got it better in this, to an extent anyway. Zelda and Peach's dash attack launch power basically got switched with eact other, Zelda has more lauch power with more moves and moves that had it in Melee got better in this one. Even her over b move is very useful. (especially on a team with Mr. Game and Watch. down b with G&W, over b three times for a oil spilling instant kill...unless they tech it or something.) as for Sheik, his/her tilts aren't as effective anymore. i don't know if she can still chain-throw, but i doubt it. her smashes have been given alittle more power, sorta, but sacrificing her useful aerials to do so? that was just dumb on their parts. dumb.
