Edward turned to see the newest member of the glade. A female, not yet assigned a job. He walked over and introduced himself to the newcomer. "Edward, and you would be?"

Thump... Thump.... Thump...
Sarah looked up. She could hear the foot steps of someone approaching her. This is too soon, she thought. No, I don't want to see anyone. Not yet. Too soon... I'm too scared. Too tired. Too... lonely. No. Not Yet.
All the same she looked up and was surprised when she heard him speak.
She thought he said something like "Edward, and you would be?"
She couldnt tell. All the same she said, "Tired. I would be tired. But my name isn't Edward. It's Sarah." Why did I say 'Hi' to him? I thought i didn't want to... oh well. At least I gave him something he'll remember.Haha. Let's see how he reacts to that.

Edward cocked his head a little confused. "Uhm, thats not what I meant... Well its nice to meet you."

"Ditto, but about you..." Oh no, you're making a foul of yourself! "I mean, it's nice to meet you too." Sarah pulled her legs even closer to herself. She still wasn't sure talking to this guy was such a good idea.

Edward felt that she wanted to be alone but pressed on. "We're the among the first to arrive. If you wan't to survive you'll help with the daily tasks. You any good at running?"

"So..." Sarah couldn't process it. Was she alone with this guy? I better make a good first impression..."Does that mean we're alone?"

"Besides a couple others, just nearly," Edward said it a little saddened about the fact anyone had to be here. "We have been here a few months. I think its nearly figured out..." Edward stopped not wanting the greenie to think that we were ineptly lead, even though that was the case. Actually no leader had been chosen yet. "Well theres really not much to do... seeing as we get a surplus of supplies, we got medical teams, building teams and cataring teams. Medics take care of injuries, builders put up our shacks for various crud, and catarers make the food. Then we have our sub groups. Weavers supply the medics. Farmers supply the catarers. Loaders supply the builders. Seeing as you have no job, which you want to try?"

"You tell me. " I'm so lost... just tell me what to do. This place is so strange... and yet you're the first person to talk to me... I should try harder. This guy's being nice to me and all I'm doing is being difficult. pssssh. here i go... "I mean, I'm not sure. Where do you guys need the most help. I'll start out there i guess."

"not sure...." Edward knew he wasn't being very helpful... "Well we're working on buildings and with increasing populations, we'll need to expand." Edward looked off to the small shacks they called home. "If you want to be most useful, you'll meet up with Johnny."

"Johnny... Got that. where's he at? Any thing i should know bout the guy?" Sarah looked at where Edward looked. Wow... is that where they live? I mean... where WE live? How many people do those shacks have to hold? Yeah... They do need help. "Can I go see if he needs me now? I feel so useless just sitting here."

"They're working on west corridors chamberling." Edward said it with out much thought "Er- I mean they should be down there working on the newest sleeping area." He pointed to the western doorway. He wasn't all to accustomed to be the welcoming party. partially because of the slang terms seemed natural. "He doesn't like workers to be late, so be prepared for a little short guy to bark orders at you. Just explain your the newest."

"Late? No, I'll be on time... I should probably being going then..." Sarah started to walk where Edward had pointed but then stopped and turned back around. "Edward? What is your job?" I don't want this to be the last time I see him...

"That reminds me, don't go outside the corridors! I search for our way out." Edward didn't want to be making her worried about her knew, well only known life... "Don't ask why, you'll find out soon enough." With that last ominous tone Edward went off to the southern chamberlings.

))MWAHA Imma create some drama-ish. Not really. But. . . I don't have any other ideas. Sorry it's kind of long, it'll be shorter next time. I can't help it some times D : ((

Leon watched some of the other Gladers as they went about. They had recieved their newbie for the month but not many were really taking interest. There was Edward though, so at least someone was paying attention. The girl seemed alright though, sometimes they were a bit looney coming out. Med-jacks had to go through the supplies for a bottle of Adovan they were always supplied with and it always ran out in some way over the month. His attention left the two though as one of the other med-jacks came running up, "Come quick." Leon raced after him to a scene of maybe ten or so boys gathered around two figures. "He hasn't been stung but he's a bloody mess," the concious one said looking up at Leon. And the kid was indeed covered in scratches and blood.
