Name: Alexander Tiberius King (Alex for short) Age: 18 Personality: Bold, confident, outgoing, athletic, and considers himself to be a lady's man Bio: Alex had always been the most popular boy wherever he went, and so it wasn’t really necessary for him to prove it to anyone, which gave the appearance that he didn’t care about his popularity. Being the starting quarterback for the high school football team helped, and naturally enough, he was the senior class president. Now that he was a senior, his top four priorities were: graduating with honors, getting into the college of his choice, leading his football team to another state championship, and scoring with college girls. Things were at the point where only a major catastrophe could keep him from graduating with honors, while the college admittance depended on his high school graduation. As for the state championship, the local papers were saying things about his team like ‘unstoppable’, and ‘undefeated season’, and ‘might as well clear a space in the trophy case now’. So far, though, the fourth goal was still only a dream. Imagine Alex’s surprise when his psychology teacher had pair him off with the biggest female geek in the school for Alex’s pretend marriage. Alex’s theory was that the teacher wanted to use them as an example of a marriage that was doomed to failure. Alex pretty much played along to ensure that he got the grade that he needed, but then he was informed that the fake wedding ceremony was actually a real ceremony, primarily because they had used a real priest. Even worse was the fact that both sets of parents refused to allow him and Sofia to get an annulment or a divorce. How was he supposed to pick up college girls when he had a wife following him? As much as he hated the idea, he was now legally and lawfully married to Sofia. At least her parents were paying for their apartment, since Alex couldn’t afford it. Picture:

At the same time that Sofia was on her way to her AP Biology class, Alex was in a different part of the school and heading to his history class. Other students would call out to him, and he would wave and return the greeting. As he walked, he saw that Brandy, the perky blonde who was the captain of the cheerleaders and allegedly the easiest girl in the school to score with, was coming from the other direction. As could be expected, the other students in the hall scattered to get out of her way, and she was followed by her crew of airhead cheerleader friends, which consisted of a blonde, a brunette, a redhead, and a black girl who pretended to be all ghetto when she wasn't. When Brandy spotted Alex, she promptly walked up to him and said in a seductive tone, "Hi Alex!" "Hello Brandy!" Alex replied with a friendly smile, and he nodded at the other bimbos while saying, "Hello, ladies." Brandy actually brushed her fingertips on Alex's arm as she went on to say, "Listen, Alex, I happen to be free this coming Friday night, and so if you've got the time after the football game, maybe you can take me on a loooong drive in your Mustang convertible all of the way up to Lookout Point, where we can get very acquainted with each other!"
When a girl like Brandy comes onto a guy like Alex, most of the guy's brain shuts down from a testosterone overload, especially the parts that deal with logic and reason. Alex was certainly no exception. "Sounds like a great plan to me! Pick you up at seven?" he said in return. "Oh wait! You're married now!" Brandy exclaimed, as if she had just remembered that, and then she gave him a pretended apologetic smile as she continued, "Sorry! I don't go out with married men." All five girls promptly began to snicker mischievously, and as the other blonde gave Brandy a high-five, she declared, "Good one!" It was now clear that Brandy's come-on had been a set-up from the beginning. On the one hand, Brandy would have gladly beat down every girl in the school for the privilege of going 'bouncy, bouncy, bouncy' on the back seat of Alex's car, but on the other hand, once she had thought of a cruel joke to play on someone, she wouldn't rest until she had played it, regardless of who it was on. Now that she had played her joke, she turned and went back the way that she had come, with her bimbo friends close behind. Since Alex couldn't let her just walk away without a response from him, he called after her, "You don't? That's not what I heard!" Instead of replying to that, Brandy merely flashed him a one-finger salute over her shoulder as she walked away. "B****!" Alex mumbled to himself.
Alex had been expecting his senior year to be one of smooth sailing, but that had changed when he had learned that his pretended marriage to that geek Sofia was actually lawful and legally binding. That's not to say that his grades were now suffering, or that he wasn't able to lead their football team to another state championship. Academically he was still very much on track to gaining admittance to the college of his choice, with a sizable football scholarship to pay for his tuition. The problem was that his love life had been essentially strangled before it had the chance to really start breathing. It would have been easy to blame Sofia for their situation, but honesty forced Alex to admit that it hadn't been her idea and she certainly wasn't any happier about the situation that he was, only for reasons of her own. Of course Alex could blame her for being such a total geek, which was a large part of the problem. Why couldn't he have been paired off with Brandy or any of the other popular girls in the school? The list of all of the girls who would have gladly become Mrs. King for real probably would include nearly every girl in the school. Unfortunately, there was nothing that Alex could do about it, and so he continued on to his class.

The class was long and dreary and she even suffered harassment from the other nerdy girls though they certainly didn't dress like nerds. What made her a nerd in today's society was self respect. She didn't wear revealing clothes and the biggest thing were her round thick glasses. Sofia sighed and took notes answering every hard question no one knew. This class ended at last and before she could make her escape to the music room the teacher asked to see her. Some girls left giggling as they passed by her and it seemed rather suspicious but she had no time to figure out what it was. Turning her attention to the teacher, a female beauty who hated her as well but still graded like a professional said to her, "You're grade as dropped from an A to a C you know that?"
Her heart had stopped for a moment when she heard that. "What? But why?!"
"You did not turn in the four essays that were due yesterday. You may turn it in tomorrow for half credit." She seemed to then get up to leave not really wanting to talk more.
Sofia quickly stopped the woman out in the hall that was now empty with exception to a couple students walking toward the cafeteria. "Mrs. Fareed wait, I turned it in to you. I really did. I finished the essays a day early and you told me to just turn it in the day it was due and I did remember?"
"Well I did say that but I don't have it. I looked in the stack and in the other stacks from other classes as well and it's just not there. Turn it in tomorrow and I'll bring your grade up to a B. I told all my classes that those essays are very important and would impact your grade greatly. Now go to lunch." The teacher than left not wanting to hear any more excuses but really she was just being a b***h.
Sofia sighed heavily and rubbed her temples as her stress level began to climb up again along with anger since she put two and two together. Those giggling girls had stayed after school in the Bio class yesterday and it was probably them who took her essays and most likely discarded them. But, what could she do? Sofia would simply have to print them out again today and turn them in tomorrow. It hurt her pride that she wold now have a B in one of her favorite classes. Slowly she now made her way to class no longer paying attention for any snarly girls that were out to get her. When she was almost at the music room what would you know, Brandy and her group of snooty friends cut her off.
"Well well look who we have here girls, Mrs. King," The grin on her pretty little face sent a chill down Sofia's back but she wasn't afraid of them nor any girl, she found all of this pointless and irritating .
All Sofia did was turn and start walking away not in the mood to deal with this after hearing about her essays. "I don't have time for immaturity," she muttered softly to herself but was yanked back only to be surrounded by the group of popular girls. I "What was that you ugly nerd? It' hard to understand a worthless insignificant girl like you. You think you're all high and mighty because you forced the hottest guy in school to marry you?" She spoke with such a harsh tone, her face inches away from Sofia.
"I have not once acted in such a fashion I assure you. I don't even like him-"
Like usual she was cut off, "So you think your too good for him?" It was another girl who spoke that was behind Brandy. "News flash your no where good enough for him or any guy in this school. In fact he's still hooking up with other girls. he wanted to hook up with Brandy earlier but he's married and she isn't a desperate hoe like you."
They were all laughing have a good time messing with her. By now Sofia had learned to drown them out and hardly heard the rest of the horrible things they called her. After shoving her around a bit they left and she went into the music room where she sat down by the window and stared outside lost in her own thoughts before depressed as usual, crying, not too much because of all the bullying but because of her grade...mainly because of that. Sofia had forgotten to lock the door but after that, she doubted anyone would come in to mess with her more.

Alex had just sat down to eat lunch when his best friend Greg joined him and cheerfully said, "Hi Alex! Where's the Mrs.?" "Don't know, don't care," Alex mumbled in return. "Oh oh! The honeymoon's over already?" Greg asked in jest. "Some 'honeymoon'!" Alex snorted contemptuously, "And don't you start with me! I have enough trouble with Brandy and her girls dogging me about this farce of a marriage." Greg nodded in understanding and said, "From what I just heard, you propositioned her earlier today, and she turned you down. Knowing her, though, it was probably the other way around. I was going to ask you about how you like being married now, but I'm getting the feeling that you don't care much for it." "It's a complete joke!" Alex stated, "I know it, you know it, and Sofia knows it! The only people who don't know it are our parents and the priest who married us, and they aren't about to let Sofia and I get an annulment or a divorce. If we were permitted to get either of them, there would be a race between Sofia and I to see which of us got to sign the papers first." After a brief pause, Greg said, "Maybe what you and Sofia need to do is give yourselves some time to let your marriage work. From what I've read, in a lot of arranged marriages, eventually the husband and wife grow to love each other. That could work for you and Sofia as well." Alex gave Greg an impatient look and replied, "Now I want you to think about that for a minute and then tell me if you honestly believe that a cool guy like me can grow to love a total geek like Sofia." Greg did think about if for a minute or so, and then he stated, "You're right. There's no way that's going to happen. Looks like you're stuck." "As if I didn't know that already," Alex remarked sarcastically.

Normally Sofia avoided going to the lunchroom to get lunch by bringing her own but today she seemed to have forgotten it since she had a lot of things to do and a lot on her mind that morning, not to mention that she spend half an hour trying to wake Alex up who refused to wake up for some reason. Even though she didn't really take a liking to him she couldn't help but try and get him to do certain things like go to school though that probably made him hate her more.
In the cafeteria some of the people sitting around Alex and his friend were hearing their conversation since they weren't exactly being quiet about it. They all chuckled and giggled but their laughing grew just a bit louder when they saw Sofia standing by the doorway where she could hear what Alex was saying but it wasn't the first time. She simply made her way to the line to get some food, people whispering things about her and as usual making fun of the type of clothes she wore especially at the fact that her skirt passed down her knee's....what a shocker..Sofia didn't make it to the line because one of the other popular girls, Ashley to be exact stood up and 'accidentally' dropped all her lunch on her.
"Oops, I guess those hideous clothes will look just a bit better...so you're welcome," Her, along with the whole room burst into laughter. Sofia rolled her eyes and began wiping some food off.
"Grow up," she muttered before heading out since lunch was almost over and she had to wash out the mustard while she still had time.
The rest of school consisted of more harassment but once the final bell rang Sofia made her way out of the school and toward the apartment, the only place of salvation though she still had to deal with Alex though she hoped he had some sort of sports practice. Sofia smiled slightly when she remembered that Bo, her German Shepard was home waiting for her.
(OOC: By the way this is how she's dressed: click me Yes, she's old fashion XD)

"Hey, there's the Mrs. now!" Greg said while pointing out Sofia to Alex. "Do you think she heard me?" Alex inquired, to which Greg replied, "Probably." Instead of feeling ashamed of himself, Alex pretended that he had known all along that she was there and he remarked, "Good. For a moment I was worried that I wasn't talking loud enough." "You have to admit that her outfit is quite fashionable," Greg stated, and after pausing for effect, he added, "For a hundred years ago. Today she just looks like a dork." Alex nodded in agreement and said, "If you think that she's dorky now, imagine what she looks like first thing in the morning before she has the chance to brush her hair and teeth." "Now that's something that I don't want to picture," Greg said in return.
They might have talked longer, but lunch time was over with, and so they went to their respective classes. Once the official school day had come to an end, Alex went to the afternoon's football practice. First there was the warm-up stretches followed by calisthenics. Next Alex and the offensive team practiced the plays that their coach wanted them to focus on for their next game. After that, both the offense and the defense got together for a practice scrimmage. The practice was concluded once the cool-down stretches had been done. Alex's day wasn't quite over yet. Once he had showered and dressed, he went to the coach's office to spend a half-hour watching videos of next opponents so that he knew what kind of defensive plays that they were likely to throw at him during the game on Friday. As he was finishing up with that, his coach entered the office and said, "Oh there you are, King. Will you be ready for our next game on Friday? It's going to be a tough one." The football coach was in the habit of calling everyone by his or her last name. "Sure thing, coach!" Alex stated confidently. The coach went on to say, "Now if this marriage thing of yours is going to be a problem, I need to know about it now. I still remember how much fun it is to be a newlywed, and we can't afford for you to become distracted right now." Alex snorted at that, and replied, "Trust me, coach, that 'wife' of mine won't distract me even if she was to run butt naked across the field in the middle of the game." "That's just what I wanted to hear!" the coach said in return, but after a moment of thought, he added, "Even so, let's pray that she's not a closet exhibitionist."
Having finished watching the films, Alex left the school and drove to the apartment that he shared with Sofia. That was another joke, since they could barely stand to be in the same room as each other. Even though they were married, they had yet to sleep in the same bed. While Sofia got to sleep on the queen-sized bed in the bedroom, Alex had to settle for the sofa/hide-a-bed in the living room. At least it was a comfortable hide-a-bed, which helped to explain why he was so slow to get up in the morning. If only Sofia wasn't such a nag about that. As soon as Alex had arrived at the apartment, he walked in and loudly announced, "I'm home! Is dinner ready? I'm starving!"

Alex found dinner where he expected it to be, and Sofia's dog was lying in the living room. He still referred to Bo as her dog, and he was never sure if the dog was beginning to warm to him or wanting to bite him. The primary reasons why Alex put up with the dog was because Bo was house-trained and he would keep burglars from breaking into the apartment. It did appear that Sofia hadn't eaten anything yet, which was kind of strange. Since Alex didn't see her in the apartment, he assumed that she was up in her 'art space', as he called the attic, and the lack of music indicated that she was probably painting. Alex took his share of the dinner and sat in the living room to watch TV as he ate. He had insisted on getting cable TV for the apartment, which included all of the sports channels that he could possibly want. When he turned on the TV, though, he decided to see if there was a movie that he wanted to watch. As luck would have it, one of the HBO channels was showing 'Friday Night Lights', and so Alex chose to watch that.

Needless to say, Alex hadn't forgotten about Brandy's cruel joke, and he couldn't shake the feeling that if it wasn't for his farce of a marriage, Brandy's come-on would have been a legitimate proposition and that they would have had a very enjoyable time together after the game on Friday. Aside from winning the game, that would have been the highlight of the week. Even so, when Alex took the time to think about it, it really wasn't important or necessary for him to score with Brandy. Scoring with Brandy was as challenging as carrying a football the length of the football field while the opposing team was still in the locker room. In fact, getting involved with Brandy might be more trouble than it was worth, when his 'safe' option was right there in his apartment. Since he was married, there was no reason why Alex shouldn't enjoy all of the benefits that marriage brought, even if Sofia was his wife. He could even go so far as to regard them as his rights. With that thought in mind, Alex decided to do something about it.
He barely noticed when Bo got up and ran into the kitchen. It was possible that he wouldn't have noticed Sofia as she did her housework if it wasn't for the fact that he had to lean over when she chose to vacuum in front of the TV while he was watching the movie. It never really occurred to him that he should probably help. Of course there were a lot of things about marriage that he had yet to learn. When the movie was over, he went to the kitchen to see if there was any ice cream left, and he found Sofia there reading a book. That wasn't a surprise either. While Alex did read on occasion, a book that was as long as the one that she had at the moment would not interest him enough for him to finish it. He preferred stories that were short and to the point. Alex decided that now was as good of a time as any to assert his rights as the husband. "We need to talk about something," he stated as he sat at the kitchen table. Instead of waiting for her to respond, he went on to say, "Now I agree that it was a good idea for us to not actually consummate our marriage while we still thought that it was only pretend, but that's changed now that we know that we are legally and lawfully married. Since we are husband and wife, we might as well go all of the way, and I was thinking that tonight will be the perfect time. Everyone, including our parents, think that we've already done it, so why shouldn't we do it? Oh, and speaking of parents, I don't know what your mother is like, but my mother is already hinting about how much she would love to have a grandchild." That wasn't true in the sense that his mother hadn't hinted at anything of the kind, but sooner or later she will.

The book was an interesting tale about a man who had lost his identity when he started a lie about who he was and how he struggled to find himself. It reminded her of the book Invisible Man she had read in AP English last year, oh how she loved that book! Sofi was lost in the story that she didn't notice Alex come in nor did she hear him say that he wanted to talk, him sitting down was what caught her attention. She glanced up at him and listened to everything he was saying. She did not respond because she waited for him to get up and laugh while going on a rant about how he would never hook up with an unappealing girl and how he was way out of her league. When he did not do so she sat there now confused and a little astonished that he even said such a thing.
"You aren't joking?" Sofia shut the book and sat up straight staring at the young male in front of him. "What, were you tackled too hard during practice or something or are you on some sort of drug?" Not letting him respond to anything she said, Sofia got up and grabbed her book now fully upset. Did he really think she would sleep with him? A guy who makes fun of her and see's her as nothing but a nerd that ruined his life, a guy who would never understand how she felt. Sofia shook her head and laughed throwing a glare at him. "I may be your wife but I will not do anything with you, not tonight, not ever. I am not your property and I am not someone who will go weak at the knee's because Mr. hot shot wants to hook up with me like all the other girls. News flash, high school is your kingdom now but out in the real world you'll be screwed and your looks won't take you far at all. How about you focus on growing up rather than trying to get laid." With that little rant she turned and started heading to her room, a room she would now lock during the night.

Alex was surprised by Sofia's response. Not that a girl had turned him down. That had happened a few times before, even though he was the most popular guy in the school. After all there were a few girls with significantly higher moral standards than Brandy's. Of course they typically took the 'thanks but no thanks', gentle approach to turning him down. The thing that surprised Alex was that Sofia had found the backbone to tell him off, and so vehemently at that! Furthermore, she was completely ignoring the logic in what he was suggesting. He was so startled that the only reply that he would think of was, "Oh yeah? Well... fine! Be that way!" Alex then found the ice cream that he had been looking for, and he considered his options as he ate some. He could force her into complying to his wishes, but afterwards she might get him in trouble with the law, and he couldn't afford that kind of a distraction during football season. Besides, it probably wouldn't be as satisfying as seducing her. That would be the greater challenge, and he was certain that he was up to it. One way or another, he was going to get her to want him so much that she'll be begging him to take her to bed. He didn't know how he was going to pull that off, but he'll think of something. It was kind of pathetic that he had to seduce his own wife, but he supposed that there were worse things in a marriage. So far it hadn't occurred to him that he might be more successful with Sofia if he was actually nice to her, and did things for her, and did what he could to satisfy her needs and desires before his own. The fundamental concept of 'a happy wife is a cooperative wife' was just beyond his grasp, and he had certainly done nothing to make her happy. Since he had nothing else better to do at the moment, he went back to watching movies on the TV before going to bed for the night.
