Alright ********. I haven't been up in this s**t for a minute but you're all my friends so ******** off.

Reflect on your life during your time in the Cult. I'll make a separate post below mine. Include whatever information you want, pictures, etc. A lot of people are reminiscing about this group and the years it spans, so woman up and think about what you've been through and where you are now.

So I joined Gaia in middle school so like... 2006? 11 years ago what the s**t. Anyway, I was on and off for a bit then eventually made my way into the Cult. I am now the 5th member with the most posts after whoever knows how long I've been in here. I've made a bunch of friends that even if we don't talk so much, I still love seeing what they're up to on Social Media! Kuzo, LPS, J, Mizu, Betgirl, Wylr, Volty, and even old long gone people like BassBeatdown, Orphie, and Kriel are all names I see and am like, b***h whatchu up to. So its cool after 10 years I'll call it, that friendships are still a thing and people are still existing in their own worlds. Plus I remember the Mafia games we had that were INSANE. So much was happening all the time. The amount of interest, posts, and information in those was so great, and something I genuinely enjoys. So yeah, it's been a pretty cool place that I still hold a lot of good memories with.

Things I've Done (in no order):
Graduated College
Came out as a Gay Male
Got into a relationship which is still going on as I write this (6.5 years later)
Pretty sure I told y'all when I lost my virginity and people flipped out because they thought I was a 14 year old kid and not a 17 year old gay male
Gotten REALLY gay like wow

That's all folks(?)

I started my own guild in December 2005. So I was probably already a member here before that, so either late 2004, or early 2005.

So... yeah. I would have been fifteen when I joined the Cult.

Since then, I have graduated high school, spent a year volunteering around Canada, went to University for four years (met and moved in with a girl during that time), got a job, got married, got some gerbils. Then the gerbils died and we got chinchillas. Then we got some cats. And the chinchillas have died (unrelated to the cats). I own a Prius now, I've gone from "Nintendo only all other consoles suk!" to owning all the current consoles (and a pretty decent PC), and I play them all.

Like... a s**t ton of stuff has happened. But it's been twelve years, so I guess that's to be expected.

I joined somewhere around early middle school. Was definitely at least in the double digits. Sometimes I think "oh I never had any phases in middle school," completely disregarding the amount of RPing I did in these forums. I ended up going offline for a while once I hit high school, popping up occasionally. Overall my online presence in places waned once I started to become more involved with extracurriculars and just being around people.

Currently I've got another month left before I finish studying abroad in Australia, am on my junior year of college looking to finish up my psych BA, gonna look into grad schools once I get back to the states, and learned how to bartend a little while out here in Sydney before trying that out in NYC. Oh and I turned 21 this month so going back home will be fun with the amount of people trying to drink me under the table.

It's funny though. Recently I've been watching Recovery of an MMO Junkie and getting caught up and seeing an anime cover this pretty novel idea of nostalgia in the age of the Internet made me want to check how the Cult's been. Nice to see others felt the same way.

Oooohhhh man, I try to forget about all the RPs I did on Gaia. Because I did a LOT of them!

Although I guess they're kind of like D&D with mostly homebrew rules and a DM that wants their own character in the story...

i joined early highschool, honestly out of all the gaming groups on gaia, it seemed the most laid back.

i was half right.

the things we did in our online gaming sessions were things of legend. i like to think our pod cast was pretty decent to for the era we did it in.

nowadays i work retail at a liquor store, to be fair, it is a MASSIVE store for just Liquor products. i myself, dont really drink. its expensive. gaming is still my drug.

anyone using steam can add me, normally i ignore invites from randoms but since i posted it here i'll accept em for a bit.

@Kath
that glow up boyyyyyyyyyyyy

Logged in for the Nostalg and here this was.
figured I should post.

UPDATE ON WYLR
GOT MARRIED
HAD A BABY (SHES COOL)

Like Kath said it's really cool that I left here at the end of the day with friends. People I still see all the time on facebook, and some on snapchat/instagram.

This place was really good to me.. even after.. ya know..
I was going through a shitty time in High School and as lame as it sounds you all helped. Having friends on here (Oh god that's so lame)

And even the people who I haven't heard from in years still hold a place in my heart I met some great people on here and I'm glad to see they're doing well.

I wish more people would find this and come post I'd like to see how more people are doingggg

I can't believe I decided to look at this guild again so soon. I guess I was just kinda wondering about y'all.

I joined Gaia in 2006, and I pretty quickly found the Nintendo Cult after that. I was 14, I guess?

I know in high school I was so deeply intrenched in the internet because I didn't really have many friends nearby or things to do in the middle of nowhere. So, I guess being on Gaia was better than getting into drugs?

Since leaving Gaia, I started college, finished college, got a job doing graphic design and advertising, and I've been there for 4 years. I also went through a process of accepting my own queerness, figured I was pretty fully bisexual, and am engaged to marry my lovely partner of 3 years. We have a cat together.

I also got REALLY into D&D, started up a webcomic, and got into a comic anthology fairly recently which will be published... soonish? (and if you want to look up my webcomic, it's called ingress adventuring company)

I'm regularly on Twitter if you want to say hi. Just tell me who you are if you want me to follow you. me --> @kayartics

I joined in '07 and I mostly just love dressing up my avi now, but I'm still and will always be a gamer <3

Since people are dropping their other social media, I will too!

MahouLetti - instagram. I'm a cosplayer so it's mostly that, but there's some other things sprinkled here and there.

PrincessPretear is my tumblr. Mostly memes, anime/youtuber/music appreciation

Congrats on the marriage and the fur babies.

Anyone else kinda miss the heyday of NCult during E3? Used to be a lot of fun to come and discuss the latest trailers and game reveals here.

I still think about making a new N-Cult somewhere but never have. I miss the times we had here. They seem like distant memories now from another life.

(Formerly bleu_flame, if it isn't obvious enough)

I think I joined in like... 2007 or something. So around when I was 14.
Y'all were a lot older than me, so I was pretty quiet. I've gotten a lot less anxious over the years, though. And I've become weeb trash.

Graduated university with a degree in Software Engineering in 2017 and now I work for Bank of America as a Java Analyst in Plano, Texas. I don't think I talk to any of y'all ******** anymore, but I bumped into Deca at A-Kon in 2016, which was pretty cool. I like keeping up with some of your postings on Facebook.

Not married yet, but I've been long distance dating a lady that gets along with me more than anyone I've ever met before.

If any of y'all are in Dallas, specifically Plano or Frisco, give me a message. The National Videogame Museum is in Frisco and it's pretty awesome~

Not sure why I checked the guild again, but I'm bored. We should make a Discord.
