Hello! I thought I would make a thread where we could just post about random stuff going on in our lives, things we like, general life advice, opinions about the newest items...just whatever.
Consider it a place to go to chat with your fellow guild buddies. Hopefully we can all get to know each other outside of just our amazing avi creation abilities. 3nodding
Love your current. Lap Ness is so adorable! I was experimenting with it yesterday but wanted to make an undersea avi for this week's contest. Although I'm not quite happy with it....it looked better in the larger view.
How is your week going?
Yesterday morning we had to take my daughter to the ER. She was having an allergic reaction; her lips and face were all swollen so we were worried about her suddenly not being able to breathe. She had hives last week as well. We just can't pinpoint what it might be. We are thinking maybe soy. She tried an Impossible Burger while we were visiting some vegan friends and shortly after started feeling itchy. Then she had the hives all week which we gave her allergy medication for. Then the other day I cooked some stirfry and used soy sauce and her face was swollen in the morning. We are going to take her to an allergist to hopefully figure it out.
Side note the impossible burger was super gross tasting...and smelled gross while cooking (my husband described the smell as cooking a dirty damp sponge).

I'm sorry to hear about your daughter! That sounds like a scary incident. I hope the results from the allergy test give you some clear results.

Thank you! I made a scenic for it which I am going to wear next. It is going pretty well, but Im having pretty bad stomach pain today, ugh.
OH NO! I hope she feels better soon. That is terrifying. I wonder if it is the soy. They do an awful lot of processing for those meatless foods its hard to tell what's really in them. (I had vegan breadfruit "pulled pork" the other day and felt nauseous afterwards)
I hope the allergist can figure it out. Allergies are tricky sometimes.

Ugh I have having stomach issues. I hope you feeling better today. Yeah we need to make an appointment with the allergist. She is taking some allergy medication (Zyrtec-the generic) in the mean time and it doesn't seem to be cropping back up. Although I haven't given her anything with soy recently. She has had soy sauce and stuff before with no issues...maybe in moderation she is ok but in large amounts reacts. Allergies are super weird and tricky.
Side note the ER doctor also prescribed an Epi pen for her. But it was like $300+ for a pack of two. We declined having it filled for now since she is doing better and until we can get results from the allergist. So crazy how expensive it is.

Er, I don't know if this is what you want to hear, but I'm saving IRL money. Partly I'm going to be refraining from buying Gaia cash, but also I have a game I'm playing with myself where I reward myself real dollars for not doing impulse buys/not impulsively getting on various sites plus doing planning and prep and chores and things (like buying bulk tp or meat (and freezing), or making lunches at home instead of buying at a supermarket.
No punishment for not doing things, and I only 'pay out' on pay days (I have a tally system to keep track of points/dollars earned) and I have a savings account set up specifically for future purchases.
Does any of that sound helpful?
I mean if you want to save up just in plat for tickets, that's hard--I have managed to, before, but it mostly involves selling off high value items (you love it, but do you use it, really?) plus investing in gift cards to then investing in limited quantity items (you can never really tell how those will do on the market place, but they're usually a better investment than chance items)
Tie dye tickets are usually easier to buy in plat than Rainbow tickets. Triple treat tickets usually tie with Tie Dye tickets on the market (or are more expensive o.O, but sell for cheaper if you're using real money, and you have more options/more say for the three poses you recolor
