Pokemon. We all know what it is unless we've been living uder a rock. Anywho...

There once was a land where creatures with magical powers lived and played. They lived for many years apart from humans but one day they got curious and some of them began to live with the people. They played with them and grew stronger together, the pokemon would even fight along side the humans in their wars. While their bonds grew, the purist pokemon became disgusted. They decided that all pokemon who wished to let lesser creatures, such as humans, use their powers for purposes that didn't benefit them should perish. those wild pokemon would attack the humans and their pokemon. Eventually, it was deemed unsafe for people to move about with out pokemon and even then some areas were restricted to only the strongest. The pokemon then organized themselves to attack cities and they cut the people apart. The Pokemon had four different armies of specific types lead by the strongest of each group and there were many other high powered ones placed in lower positions. The war started and raged for many years until finally the humans won and the Elitist Pokemon were forced to retreat...

Fortunately, those ages are long gone. Now everything's peaceful, though wild pokemon still attack trainers. The worst is left in the ancient past and the only reminders of that time that still exist are the gyms and the Elite Four, though no one really acknowledges that. It's in this world that our heroes live and will begin their adventure eventually...

Slightly important note: This takes place way after Ash and the hand-held video games. Most of the people you know are dead, including the gym leaders. =D Also, Slateport City will have a gym instead of Petalburg because that city is so small and Slateport is so big. The Petalburg City gym will be used for something else, though I'm not telling why yet.

Karen, Sena and Lyn sleep in the Pokemon Center, well, that is until Lyn found out her eggs missing! And how does this Tsu-chan know Aeris is dead? Will it cause Aeris to go into uber-emo mode? Meanwhile, things are getting worse in Littleroot. Hopefully Liam and Teddy will be able to break out and warn AJ before these weirdo "evil" people get away with all the pokemon in the lab.

Rules:

3. Unless specified otherwise in the rank descriptions, pokemon must be in their first stage or their original first stage from Red and Blue.
4. No sex descriptions. Keep it relatively clean.
5. Don't swear excessively. My sig is a bad example of this.

7. Don't flame each other unless it has to do with the RP.
8. Don't spam.
9. You may have at most three characters but they have to start off at different areas. Please use different colors for their text if you're going to have them RP together.
10. Use the pokemon that are currently in the area as the wild pokemon. There is a list. The list may be updated to include special pokemon from time to time.

The NPC Professors don't usually move around. They're the ones who'll call you when they've discovered something or they want you to test something for them. You get your starter pokemon from the NPC professors if you're planning on using an original starter or if you have a special request starter. A special request starter won't be very strong but it'll be different from the starters in the games. Like Ash's Pikachu and Gary's Eevee weren't traditional starters. PC professors can travel around freely. The Pokemart and Pokecenter NPCs will react differently to the PC professors, often giving them discounts. A PC Professor can also have more knowledge of pokemon than normal trainers. For instance, if they're looking for a pokemon, they can find them easier than normal trainers. Meaning that a regular trainer must fight at least two random wild pokemon before they get the pokemon they want to fight, but the professor only has to fight one random pokemon (at least at the start, the amount increases as the RP continues).

Trainer Pokemon:
None can be evolved unless they are Kanto evolved forms of Johto babies.
No legendary pokemon, this does not include starters.
No Pokemon from Diamond and Pearl for now.
Only two pokemon at most when you start. Eggs count as a pokemon.
Can not have very powerful attacks at the moment, basic things like Tackle, Bite, Leech Life are good. Hyper Beam, bad.
If getting a starter pokemon, you MUST talk to a professor.

Professor Pokemon:
Only one for now, these people don't go around fighting all the time.
Can not use any starters, those are for the young people who come to get pokemon.

Bio: Little is known about this crafty gang leader. She is a samurai, whose gang is composed only of female members who are swordmen or martial artists. Her gang is known as "Team Vanity", because they are all women who are very pretty and powerful. Tsukasa herself wields a katana and uses both the blade and sheath in battle, much like her pokemon scyther's two blades. The goals of her gang are unclear, but likely selfish in nature.

Bio: Born in Cerulean City, she was expected to raise water type pokemon. This all changed when she found a stranded growlithe during a rainstorm in her town when she was 6. Although everyone in her town said she was stupid for doing so, she chose to raise the growlithe. Vowing to beat her hometown's gym leader with her one pokemon, she set off in her quest. Only after a short time, she evolved the growlithe into an arcanine with a fire stone nobody in her town had use for. Although fairly powerful, her arcanine is limited due to his puppy-like nature. He follows her around, and is considerably smaller than most arcanine, 4' 7'' to the normal arcanine's 6'3''. Firecely protective of Sena, they travel together to learn more about all pokemon and to someday beat the Cerulean gym leader.

Bio: He left Violet City when he was young, a little after he got his Nidoran. He left his childhood hero in that town…the town Bachelor, Smith Martin Ex, the people just called him S.M. Ex. From the young age of 10, Tristan decided it was the best thing in the world to be a bachelor, even though his mother disapproved, she wants grandchildren. At first, Tristan would go around and talk to all the cute picnicker girls and tell them that he was just one lonely soul, trying to find the perfect Nidoran female for his Nidoran male. That was until he found out that his little Cupid didn’t like female pokemon…so Tristan decided to like both as well, not just for his Nidoran, but also because the male campers would usually buy him more stuff. But, in order to get the girls, he needed a new pokemon that wouldn’t run away from their femaleness to go chasing after some passing Mr. Mime. He finally found one and, using his awesome manliness/male-whoreness, acquired a Spheal. He never trains Spheal, but he uses the whole, “I’m a lost cute pokemon” routine to lure in potential “playmates”. He really wants a Tauros.

Bio: Karen grew up with Lyn on Cinnabar Island and was a regular at the yummy Cinnabar Cinnabun shop. Growing up she was always a bit of a tomboy, but once Karen hit 16 she became interested in more girly, feminine things. Now she is obsessed with anything beautiful, cute, and frilly. She was introduced to her first Pokemon, her Ponyta, at the age of 11 when her father presented the Pokemon to her as a birthday gift. Karen did not become interested in training Pokemon right away, but instead just bonded with her Ponyta and fought the occasional battle when any of her friends challenged her. Karen refuses to ever put Cosette, her Ponyta, in her Pokeball. When Lyn left Cinnabar, Karen vowed to become a trainer herself someday just like her pal Lyn. She has just recently departed from Cinnabar and has begun her journey to become a great Pokemon trainer.

Running shoes are a must though she hates to run.
Bio: Her parents, as the owners of the famous Cinnabar Cinnabuns food chain, decided to move on up and expand their empire into the land of Hoenn. Lyn was very young but she still remembers the first time she found Growlithe searching through her trash. She feed the little thing, then, in Safari fashion, she throw a poke ball at it and hoped for the best. It took awhile for Growlithe to trust her after that, but the problems were eventually worked out and Lyn was able to take Tiger on walks without him running away. As a going away present, her older sister gave her a pokemon egg. Her elder sister decided to stay in Kanto and finish the Gym challenge there before moving on to Hoenn. She still hasn't caught up to the rest of the family but she sends word to them every now and then. The egg has yet to hatch but it sure moves around a lot.

Bio: She was a normal child, 50 years ago. She went through the gym leaders and Elite Four. Her Haunter travels with her of his own free will, he was never captured. She was killed in a horrible accident shortly after she and Haunter beat the Elite Four in Kanto/Johto. They were on their way to Hoenn in a boat and it sank. Haunter kept her from moving into the next world, so they travel around and have been doing to for 50 years. Bored, they decided to pretend to be beginners and go through the Hoenn gym and the Elite Four. They go around catching new friends while hiding their identity and strength. Most of Haunter's power is kept tied up in keeping Aeris in this world until she can regain her life, so he can only show his true power in extreme emergencies.

Short Description/picture: Jade has short black hair that kind of flares out at the bottom. It's not really short, but it's not shoulder length either. But even though it's short, she still has a long braid that goes a little past her waist. Jade's skin is pale, lean body, and green eyes. She wears a dark colored corset-style shirt (not really a corset though) that shows off her shoulders, but wears a tank top underneath, alogn with pants and shoes. Jade always has a bookbag to carry her items in.
Bio: Jade grew up in Saffron city, where most of the people had Psychic powers. Jade's family was one of the most well known Psychics but the problem was...Jade couldn't really use her powers the way her parents wanted her to. They wanted her to be able to pick things up, to bend things, to control people's minds.... Jade couldn't do these things, at least not yet. But she could read pokemon's minds. Well, not really. Only her Eevee's mind. Her parents were growing frustarted at Jade, since she wasn't developing her powers right and that she choose a normal type pokemon over a Psychic one. Jade couldn't help that, she grew attached to Eevee after rescuing it from a river. To relieve her parents of the stress, Jade decided to go travel, to see if she could advance in her abilities elsewhere.

Description/Picture: Looks like a normal Eevee but has a little black collar with a little amulet that has a Z in it.
Short Bio: Zev had been born in the wild and seperated from his family. He learned to survive on his own...but the only thing he couldn't do was swim. Though maybe that was a good thing. Cause due to the lack of being able to swim, Zev was rescued by Jade, who would become his trainer and friend.

Bio: Along time ago, a little girl, name Goldi Lox, was caught in a Ursaring home. The wandering pirate, Captian Blaacke Beard, came to her rescue. The two were in love ever since. They had one child, a young boy named Goldi Beard. He was one handsome teenager, but he rushed to protect his love in a wild pokemon fight and was scarred from cheek to chin. To cover up his injury, he started to grow a beard. It grew excessively well and became an entangled mass upon his face. He’s always wanted to find a woman to rescue, just like his father did. He searches the seas for such a lass. And he does some plundering too.

Her dream came true when her grandparents, pokemon day-care people, gifted her with a pokemon egg that they had bought of a trainer who had too many pokemon already. They promised her that it would turn into a strong grass pokemon, all she had to do was wait. From that moment on, she always kept that egg with her until it hatched into a Bulbasaur. She and Fluffy have together ever since. Together they travelled Johto, defeating gym leaders and catching other powerful grass types. After defeating all eight Johto gym leaders she decided to move on and took the Hoenn gym challenge. It wasn't long after that that she became a member of the Elite Four. Rules of NPCs

All NPCs will be controlled by Its-a-Lyn. That means non-other person controlled gym leaders, professors, gang members, gang leaders, the Elite Four and the Champion. Others include: Pokemon Center personel, store owners and villagers. If you want something from the any of those person and Its-a-Lyn isn't on, it can be assumed that they will heal your pokemon or give you your item if you pay for it. There are some villagers who might want to trade pokemon. If so, they'll be on a list with the pokemon they want, the pokemon they're will to trade, and their location.

After I've seen how everything goes, I might split the NPC control.

A Note About Eggs:
Its-a-Lyn will inform you when the eggs about to hatch, so pm that account about when you want the egg to hatch and what's inside. Eggs given to you by other people will contain a pokemon fitting to that person and will hatch when Its-a-Lyn says so, not when you want it to. Just a warning so that when you're in the middle of a battle and baby wants to come see mama, you aren't surprised. whee

HOW TO BATTLE!
Just RP it. Be fair. Say what attack you're using, what you're attacking and do the same for the enemy pokemon until the battle's over. Keep track of how many pokemon you defeat. Depending on what area you're at and the level of you're pokemon, it'll take awhile to level up. EXAMPLE ON PAGE TWO! Also, wander around the area a bit before engaging in a battle with a wild pokemon. That goes for first entering the area and after a battle with a wild pokemon.

HOW TO CATCH POKEMON!
Example on page 11. Just like fighting but you use a pokeball for one of your turns. Remember, using a pokeball sacrifices one of your turns. The pokemon can escape sometimes, so be fair, blah blah blah.

On a cold fall morning, two figures sat in the Rustboro Cinnabar Cinnabun store. Both were heavily dressed even though they sat inside.

"So, what's been bothering you?" asked one to the other.
"The usually..." the other responded.
"That's about everything. Be specific. I can't help if you're not," the first said, a sour tone in her voice.
"I doubt you can help anyways."
"Then why'd you call?"
"You should still know."
"Know what!?" the first was enraged by this time.
"They're moving again."
"Yes, I already know that."
"But they're more aggressive this time." explained the second. He picked up his coffee and fumbled with the scarves around his neck to make an opening for his mouth.
"Yes," the first watched him cautiously, "are you planning to do anything? Not like last time."
"No!" Interrupted the second, " I wouldn't do that again." He placed his coffee cup down and moved the scarves to their original location.
"I've never known more stubborn people. You rival them sometimes," the first glanced at the second before snatching the second's cinnabun. "Still, they've failed before....why start now?"
"I don't know but they're rather evil. Why do people do such things?" The second grabbed at his cinnabun in vain as the first pulled back and stuffed it into her mouth.
"Well-mrph-we'll-arf- just have to," she paused as she swallowed the rest of the cinnabun, "fight them off like we always do."
"Shouldn't the public know?"
"Well, they'll know when they need to know. Everything will be fine for now and we'll have to keep it appearing so. Good bye, Three." She waved and existed the building, shedding off some of her outer layers to reveal her long green hair. She placed her hair clips and jumped on her bicycle, heading torward Verdanturf.
"..." Three left in complete silence, still pondering what to do. He decided to head to Littleroot and visit the Professor there.

Later, in Oldale town, number one was enjoying the nice evening breeze when suddenly his phone began to ring.
"Hello," he anwsered it sleepily. "What is it?"
"HIYA!" came the voice from the phone, "How's it going? Are you tired? You shouldn't be tired. You're making a bad name for the Elite four!"
Number one held the phone away from his ear as the woman on the other side yelled at him. He paused before answering, just to make sure she was done, "Yeah, yeah. I'm more electric than the rest of you in the day time. Besides, if any one makes a bad name for us, it's Peter. He doesn't look human in all those clothes. At least I'm comfortable."
"Oh, fine." the woman agreed, "You have a point. But that's not why I called you. She left me a message."
"Who?"
"You know who."
"Liz? She's in Hoenn, she could just visit one of us easi-"
"NO!" interrupted the other, "SHE left me a message."
"Oh...well why didn't you just say so?" Questioned number one.
"She likes her privacy. Besides, we don't want the press to start pressing us again. We have to continue saying that she hasn't contacted us since last month."
"Good idea," yawned one, "So what did she want?"
"She just said the usual." The woman explained, "She told us she was fine and that we should take good care of her pokemon or else we'll pay."
"Do you think she knows?"
"Knows what?"
"That Umbreon has gone to look for her."
"I hope not. It wouldn't be good to make her worry. Besides, Peter and Liz are looking for it."
"They won't find it, it's too fast and too smart for them."
"Don't say that. Umbreon trusts them. Besides, if Umbreon is as smart and strong as you claim, it'll be fine. Maybe it'll find her."
"Maybe it'll get captured."
"No one can capture that thing."
"There are some who could..."
"How would you know?"
"I've been doing research. I'll talk to you about it in private. Now is not the time. Is that all?" He yawned again.
"Nope. That's it. Be careful. if there are such people out there, they might go after you," she said this in as motherly of tone as she could.
"It's not me that I'm worried about them going after. Good bye. It's my bed time." He turned off his phone, clicking off Two's complaining voice. He moved toward the hotel at a snail's pace. He was getting too old for this, but he'd have to hold out longer.

Aeris stared out across the seemingly endless sea, seated on the large rock with her chin resting in her hand.
Life was so tedious, so boring. Not that she was alive, or anything.
What are you thinking about? The voice of her lifelong companion whispered past her mind's ears.
Han's image was hidden. He often hid himself from the eyes of people in Hoenn, as he was a pokemon from Kanto and Johto and thus would not be recognized. He hated being gawked at. Also, although he'd never said a word about it, Aeris knew that keeping her around in the living world took a lot out of him, and staying invisible was easier than making himself visible. She knew he was there, and to him that was all that mattered. She was always grateful to her best friend; her Haunter-kun.
I'm thinking that I'm bored...
Me too. Hey...do you wanna go through it again, here in Hoenn?
The Gym Challenge, you mean?
That.
Aeris contemplated. Haunter was only able to use his full strength sparsely at best, so she'd have to catch more pokemon to train...she couldn't beat everybody with just her Han this time...and although that saddened her, the prospect of going through the gym challenge again excited her.
Alright. The conversation over, Aeris returned to staring out at the endless sea, not yet ready to move to a new location.

"Cosette, Cosette! Over here!" the firey-haired girl called out to her dearest friend and battle partner. She carefully separated the bushes next to the path she and her Ponyta had been traveling on for most of the day, revealing a tiny, secluded grassland and a small pool of water surrounded by trees. "I knew that old man wasn't lying! See, what'd I tell you? I knew I could find this place without getting us lost again!"

Cosette snorted and looked away stubbornly, trotting off the path and toward the pool to lap up the cool water. Her trainer wandered over to a large rock to sit down and rest, watching the Ponyta drink thirstily. Karen sighed. Just a few more hours of running around, training, and attempting to catch some Pokemon, then she could finally go back to her hotel and get some real rest. A bath would be nice too. And then maybe some shopping...

This was only her first day as a trainer and she was already so exhausted from a long day of fighting! It was tiring, but there was such a thrill about this new experience. And the possibility of meeting up with some of her old childhood friends from Cinnabar kept her motivated. Many of her friends had left the island a lot sooner than she had to become trainers. She needed to catch up to them before they got too powerful for her to challenge! She smiled, remembering some of the faces of her old friends, slowly drifting off into a daydream.

The loud howlish yells of the young trainer below the rock she was sitting on startled Aeris out of her stupor. She watched the girl and her abnormal looking ponyta quietly, sharing a brief thought with Han concerning the unpleasant interruption of thier contemplating. Yet...

The air around Aeris and the still invisible Han fizzled purple for a split second as she disappeared, reappearing in front of the strange peace-wrecker. Thinking it best to stand on the ground so as not to scare the thing, she touched downand waited for the girl to open her eyes.

Her dress is nice. She said offhandedly to Han.
Isn't it? He replied, knowingly.
