"Wow! That's pretty rough!" Debra said after Sofia had told her about Bo, "I'm glad he's OK. Oh, and don't worry about taking a nap. In fact, I'll stick around to make sure that no one bothers you."

Sofia looked at Debra and gave her a thankful smile, "That would be great, knowing the people in this school...someone would probably try something while taking my nap. Thanks." Soon enough the bell rang and everyone made their way to class, Sofia and Debra in their class already and today's topic was on the board which was mainly about the negatives that occur in households like domestic violence, child abuse etc. As usual Alex's presence was barely noticed as the two girls spoke about whatever though it was mainly about the class.

Alex wasn't the least bit surprised to see that Sofia and Debra were already in the class when he got there. He was still curious about Bo, but like before, he concluded that if it was something serious, Sofia would still be upset about it. Besides, he had a football game to contemplate, along with the lesson that the teacher was presenting. Alex could have mentioned that dealing with annoying friends of spouses and in-laws was another negative in a marriage, but he didn't think that the teacher would give that concept the importance that it deserved.

When the class had ended for the day and Sofia and Debra stepped into the hall, they would find Brandy and Team Bimbo waiting for them. Brandy had been contemplating this moment since she had discovered that Sofia had taken the embarrassing photo, but what she now had in mind wasn't something that anyone would expect her to do. After giving Debra a wary glance, she said to Sofia, "I know that you were the one who took that photo and sent it to everyone, so don't bother to deny it! I bet you think you're pretty slick, but doing that was a big mistake that you will come to regret. Maybe not today, or tomorrow, or next week, or even next month, but one day, when you least expect it, I will get you back for it!" Brandy then turned and walked away, with Team Bimbo trailing her in confusion. "That's it?" demanded Shanique, who was the black girl who pretended to be ghetto, "That's all you're going to do? If I were you, I would have popped a cap in her a**!" Brandy merely smiled at Shanique, as if the girl was a slow-witted child, and she replied, "As enjoyable as it would be to pop a cap in her a**, I have a much better plan. Now she's going to be worried sick about what I'm going to do and when I'm going to do it, so that by the time that I do get around to taking my revenge, she'll be a nervous wreck!" "Oh, I get it!" Shanique said as the rest of Team Bimbo nodded their heads as if they actually understood what Brandy was up to, and then she asked, "But what are you going to do about Emo Girl?" "Not a thing," Brandy confided, "I know her type. Sooner or later she's going to go too far, and we'll be there to laugh at her as she's being expelled." To tell the truth, Brandy was still a little freaked out by the way that Debra had pulled a knife on her, and so Brandy's plan for Debra was to stay as far away from that knife-wielding b***h as she could.

((OOC: I don't have anything planned until the game, and my plot twist isn't going to happen until the second half of the game.))

Sofia stood there with Debra and when she finally left she turned to her and shrugged, "Figured she would figure out who took the picture. Well I suppose I'll just have to wait and see what she comes up with." Clearly Brandy was wrong about making Sofia a nervous wreck. Bo's condition last night was what had her a nervous wreck, not what team bimbo had planned. If it was something in school it would clearly be something humiliating but nothing life threatening so it didn't matter. Sofia has gotten used to humiliation and so now all she's thinking about is half time at the game. During lunch she took her nap and she got the rest she needed for the game.

The band played as the players ran in, the crowd cheering, the lights on since the sun was already setting. It was rather chilly out but everyone was pumped so it wasn't all too bothersome. Sofia had gone into the lockers with the other band members as they practiced on their own. Finally the marching band went out followed by color guard. And soon enough they began to play, Sofia was by the conductor playing her part on the drums though all eyes were on the marchers and color guard so that was god with her.

(OOC: Alright time skipped lol the clips is actually from the High School I went to lolz just a small clip_

Alex and his teammates were feeling pretty confident as they took to the field at the end of halftime. They were ahead 14-0, and they were receiving the kickoff to start the second half. The first play of the half was a running play, and that worked so well, Alex called it again and they got a first down. Alex then decided to change things up by running a bootleg pass play to the right, instead of running the ball once more.

That was when things began to go wrong. The other school's defense wasn't fooled, and they managed to disguise their formation long enough for Alex's blockers to not pick up on the pass rushers as they should have. Two came charging at Alex from the left while he was looking for his receiver to his right. The first to get to Alex blindsided him, knocking the ball loose just before Alex was about to throw it, and the defenders came up with the turnover after a brief scramble. That wasn't the worse, though. The cleats on Alex's left shoe caught in the turf as he went down, twisting his knee badly and causing him to cry out in pain. His coach and his trainer charged out onto the field the moment that the referee blew the play over. Alex was clutching his knee, and he was in so much pain that he was scarcely aware of others around him. A deathly quiet settled on the stands, so that everyone heard when the trainer yelled out, "We need a stretcher here now!" The two teams were gathered together on their respective sidelines, and many were kneeling, as if in prayer. The boy who had tackled Alex looked particularly upset. He hadn't meant to hurt Alex, he had only wanted to bring Alex down. Alex's parents attended every one of his games, and they were now standing on the sideline, with his mother sick with worry. Eventually Alex was loaded onto the stretcher and wheeled to the waiting ambulance. Nate, the backup quarterback, appeared at Alex's side and as he gripped Alex's hand, he vowed, "We're going to win this one for you, man!" Alex was loaded into the ambulance and whisked off to the hospital, with his parents following in their car.

Taking advantage of their good field position, the team from the other school was able to drive and score a quick touchdown. On the second play of his first possession, Nate threw an interception that was returned for another touchdown, tying the score. On the next possession, Nate's team was forced to punt, and the other team moved the ball into field goal range before they were stopped. That left the other team with a 17-14 lead. At the moment, the chance for Alex's team to go undefeated that year seemed to be slipping away.

But the thing is, a championship team doesn't rely on just one player. At the beginning of the fourth quarter, the defense squad on Alex's team virtually swore a blood oath that they weren't about to let the other team score again. As a result, the other team never got into field goal range, and once they even lost yardage. As soon as Nate had gotten over his initial bout of nerves, he proved to be an effective quarterback, even though he was somewhat inexperienced. Nate led his team on a touchdown drive that gave them the lead again, and that proved to be the game-winning touchdown. By the time the final whistle blew, everyone had forgotten about the interception that he had thrown. At the beginning of the game, Nate had been just the backup quarterback, but now he was the hero. As the team celebrated their victory, Brandy sidled up to Nate and whispered in his ear that perhaps later that night they could go on a looong drive up to Lookout Point, where they could get very acquainted with each other. Nate thought at it was a great idea, and this time Brandy wasn't teasing. The school's undefeated season remained intact, and the march to another state championship continued. However, those who were in the know understood that they probably would have to win the championship without Alex.

Sofia sat on the sidelines with the other band members watching the second half of the game. It seemed that their team would win again and the other team would have no chance in winning the championship game. Of course Sofia was rooting for the team, she did state before how she had respect for people who worked hard and she had seen the team practice every now and then when the band would practice outside beside the football field. Even though she didn't like Alex all too much she would never wish pain upon him, like the pain he would experience in a matter of moments. Sofia had been watching closely as usual, picking up every little detail that most people wouldn't pick up since they would be fixated on the quarterback/the home team but she had been watching the other team as well. Before Alex was even tackled Sofia knew that it would go wrong quickly and she was the first to stand up, but the first step she took was when it all went down south. Alex was taken down and the way his leg had bent was just too painful to even watch. She couldn't help but worry as well and when the game went on she had slithered past the crowd behind her that had gathered to watch the medics take Alex away on the stretcher. Everyone that had followed Alex to the hospital were already there by the time she had gotten there.

When she reached the doors of the hospital she was a bit hesitant about going in at all. Someone rushed past her with a small child who seemed to be having trouble breathing. Glancing up she saw ER glowing bright before walking in and asking where Alex was taken. He was probably in surgery so she was told to wait in the waiting room so she did and slowly she made her way there to see his parents sitting there anxiously, her mother worried. Sofia stood off to the side and had wondered for a moment if her own mother had ever been this worried about her. She glanced down and remembered how one time she had fallen off the family boat and landed in a coral reef, her back scraped badly and even now she still had those ragged scars. Even then were her parents even worried? She only remembered waking up to find her nanny there watching over her. Shaking her head she knew this wasn't the time to think about that, instead she simply prayed silently that he would be alright.

(OOC: DX I seriously cringed when I read how he messed up his knee. Ouch! Reminds me of how The Blindside starts lol love that movie >w< I can also imagine Sofia helping Alex getting in and out of the shower XD too funny)

After a while, Alex's mother hesitantly came over to Sofia and said, "Hello, Sofia." She seemed to be at a loss for words. After a while she went on to say, "I realize that your marriage with Alex is anything but ideal, but I appreciate the fact that you are here for Alex in spite of... ah..." She trailed off, and after a pause, she continued, "I'm a little embarrassed that I don't know anything about you, and that it took this to bring us together. One of these days I'll come to visit you so that we can get better acquainted. When you have the time, of course."

Alex's mother wasn't the only one loss for words especially since Sofia didn't expect his mother to come over and try to talk to her. In fact Sofia wasn't used to talking to many adults other than teachers but teachers didn't like her all that much especially female teachers. For some reason she just never got along with women even as a child. "To be honest...I don't know what compelled me to come here. Though if anything I wanted to make sure he was okay...it's something no one should go through. I'm not really worried about his physical state...it's is emotional and mental state that is more of a worry." She stood there glancing around for a bit and remained quiet and a couple ours later until the doctor finally came out telling them all that he was in a room already. He simply wanted to speak with family of his though she was to listen as well since she was his wife after all.

Alex was a little surprised when he heard that Sofia had come to the hospital. It was true that she was obligated to be there, since she was his wife, but she had been lacking in one specific wifely duty, and so Alex had to guess about whether or not she would do something that she should. His next surprise was that Debra hadn't followed Sofia to the hospital. It seemed that Debra had become something of a shadow for Sofia. It was just as well, since only members of his immediate family would be allowed to see him at the moment. When Sofia and Alex's parents had entered his room, he told them, "The doctors say that the injury isn't as bad as it might have been. They are expecting me to recover, but it's going to take a while. There is a slight chance that I might not..." Alex stalled there because he couldn't bring himself to say, 'not play football again', and then he continued, "But that's the worst case scenario, and it's not going to be the worst case."

There was nothing Sofia could say or do at the moment so she stood by the door way letting his mom and dad stand by him and give him their care and support. She wasn't surprised that he could hardly say the thing she knew he may never do again. It was like saying she could no longer play music or paint a picture, both of which she was passionate about. Sofia wanted to express how sorry she was that he got injured so badly but she could not find the words nor could she find the courage to walk over to the bed. Their relationship was no where near a good one, not even as a friendship. They were like complete strangers even though they knew certain things about each other by now. Either way as time flew by Sofia had to go home since he had to stay in the hospital for however long and she needed sleep since she was running on 30 minutes of sleep. His mother had decided to stay as his father had left a while ago. Soon enough she was home sleeping on her bed. Tomorrow was Saturday and there wasn't much to do so she would go and visit Alex and probably bring him some food since it was better compared to hospital food.

It was just after eight o'clock the following morning when Debra walked up to Sofia's apartment and rang the doorbell. It was pretty early for her on a Saturday, but she was making an exception, and was also using Sofia as an excuse to get away from her grandmother for part of the day. Of course Debra was hoping that she hadn't gotten to Sofia's apartment too early for Sofia.

Starting the next morning, Alex was permitted to have visitors other than immediate family members. Greg was the first to show up, and he gave Alex the cell phone that Alex had left in his locker during the game the previous day. "Thanks!" Alex said gratefully in delight, "I was worried that I had lost it. I heard that we won the game yesterday." Greg nodded and replied, "That we did, but I'm still not certain that we can win the state championship without you." "We're going to have to win without me," Alex stated plainly, even though it pained him to admit it, "Nate can get the job done." After a brief pause, Greg continued, "Rumor has it that Nate took Brandy up to Lookout Point last night." "Color me not surprised. In fact, I'd be surprised if they didn't go there. For all we know, they might still be there," Alex said in return. There was no need to wonder about what Nate and Brandy had been up to while they had been there. Alex and Greg spent a few minutes talking about different things, and then Greg said, "I've got to go and take care of some things, but I'll be back this evening." "Alright, I'll see you then," Alex replied, and then Greg left.

Alex's next visitors, surprisingly, were Brandy and Team Bimbo. While they probably felt obligated to visit him, since that's what 'good classmates' did for each other, it was obvious that Brandy had come to gloat. She was wearing Nate's letterman jacket, which made it clear that they were now a couple. Apparently the trip up to Lookout Point had been a big success.
"We just came by to tell you how sorry we are that you got hurt during the game," Brandy stated in an overly cheerful tone, "That looked really painful! I guess we can call you Gimpy now!" Alex responded by flipping her off. This was just the moment that he had been waiting for, though, and so he said to Brandy, "I see that you and Nate are a item now. That's kind of a surprise, considering how you had been making out with Tyrone the other day." Tyrone was Shanique's boyfriend. Of course that sounded just like the trick that he had pulled on Cynthia, and so instead of responding as Cynthia had, Shanique shook her finger at Alex and replied, "Oh no! You're not tricking me with your BS!" "That was really mean!" Cynthia declared, and it was clear that she was still mad about it. "Really, Alex, I was expecting something more original than that!" Brandy said nonchalantly, but this time Alex could see a hint of fear in her expression.

"I guess seeing is believing," Alex stated with a sigh. After picking up his cell phone, he located the photo that Greg had sent him and he held up the phone so that Shanique could see it. This time the thing that Alex was lying about was seeing it himself. The details were a little fuzzy, but the photo was clear enough to see that Tyrone and Brandy had a major lip-lock going on.
"Wait, Shanique! It's not what you..." Brandy started to say, but she was interrupted when Shanique slapped her across the face and retorted, "Oh, I'm sure that it's exactly what I think. You and I are going to have words about this, but first I'm gonna find Tyrone and kill his dumb a**!" She then stormed from the hospital room with Brandy following and pleading her case, leaving Cynthia, the blonde, and the brunette behind. "Wow! Who'd have thought that Brandy and Tyrone would... you know!" Cynthia remarked to the other two girls in astonishment. The other two shared a look that indicated that they thought of Cynthia as a naive child, and then the blonde asked, "You didn't know?" "Wait! Are you saying that you knew but you never said anything?" Cynthia asked in return. "It's not our business," the brunette stated, and the blonde added, "That's right, and you know that you don't want to get on Brandy's hate list. Now we need to catch up to Brandy before Shanique decides to pop a cap in her a**." The three girls finally left Alex's room, leaving him laughing his a** off. Alex's plan had worked perfectly!

Sofia opened the door holding a lunch bag that had the food she made for Alex. Debra had come right in time since she was just about to leave. Sofia was going to go visit him then she was going to go pick up Bo from the vet. "Hey Debra...I didn't know you were coming. I'm going to the hospital real quick before picking Bo up...do you want to come along?" Though considering how early Debra was, she figured that she would tag along not wanting to be with her grandmother and all. Shutting the door Sofia locked it and made her way to the car and waited for Debra to join her. Once she was in the car she drove off toward the hospital. "You can come up with me if you want, but if not I won't take long..Anyway, how are you today?" She figured she would start a small conversation on the way to the hospital.

When they arrived Sofia spotted team bimbo and found it rather amusing how Brandy was going after Shanique who seemed rather angry at something. "Interesting," she chuckled and got out heading up to Alex's room. It was up to Debra if she wanted to come along. When she reached the room she knocked on the door lightly even though it was slightly open and slowly walked in. "Hey...."

"Sure, I'll come along!" Debra replied to Sofia's first question. As they were driving to the hospital, Debra said, "I'm doing pretty good today. It's a Saturday, and time for some relaxation. Hey, I hope that Alex is OK, and I do mean it. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. Well... maybe my worst, worst enemy, but no one else." When they were at the hospital, Debra had noticed Shanique and Brandy as well. While she was trailing after Sofia, she saw the other three cheerleaders, and she grabbed Cynthia and asked, "Hey, what's going on with your two friends?" Cynthia naively began to say, "Shanique just found out that Brandy and her boyfriend..." "Cynthia! That's none of her business!" the blonde promptly interrupted. "Oh! Right!" Cynthia said in return, and then she informed Debra, "I'm not telling!" "Fine! Don't tell me," Debra said in return with a dismissive shrug, and she began to snicker as she walked away because Cynthia had already told her everything that she needed to know. Debra soon caught up to Sofia and quietly stood at the entrance to Alex's room.

Alex looked up from the game that he was playing on his cell phone when he heard Sofia's voice. Thanks to his latest run-in with Brandy and Team Bimbo, he was in a pretty good mood, in spite of the fact that his knee ached enough to require a strong dose of pain medication. The doctor had explained to him about how to rate the pain that he currently felt on a scale of one to ten, with ten being the worst pain possible, and how he should push the button attached to the IV to increase the pain med only when he absolutely needed to. "Good morning! How are you doing today?" he asked cheerfully, and after a moment of reflection he added, "Probably a lot better than me." At that moment, Sofia's shadow, i.e. Debra, appeared at the door.

The whole thing with Brandy must have been Alex's doing since he seemed to be in a good mood not to mention the medication he was on to maintain the amount of pain he was in. She walked in and placed the bag on the table side beside the bed that held a glass of water that was probably for him. She didn't know what to really say so she just muttered, "Figured you could use a decent meal...and came to see how you were...." She glanced at him for a moment and quickly added, "But now I'm off to get Bo....feel well soon..." Sofia turned and left and it was up to Debra if she wanted to come along or say something to him first. Sofia had actually made Alex's favorite meal.

"Um... OK!" Alex said to Sofia as she began to leave as quickly as she arrived, and not knowing what else to say, he called after her, "Give Bo a pat on the head for me!" "As bad as it was, I bet you're glad that it was your knee instead of your neck," Debra remarked, but before he had the chance to reply, she said, "It's been great talking to you, but I've got to go now. See you later!" Debra then followed after Sofia. Alex looked at the lunch that Sofia had brought for him, and saw that it was his favorite food. If she kept doing things like that, he might actually start to like her! As the old saying went, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach.

"If you're interested, I found out what's going on with Queen B***h of the Universe and Little Miss Ghetto," Debra remarked to Sofia when she had caught up again, and she asked, "Do you happen to know whose letterman jacket she was wearing? I have a pretty good idea about what she did to get it, and it wasn't from playing football."
