Azana returned downstairs a lot more slowly than she had run up, mostly because she was now in heels again to match the black dress she had slipped into. She wasn't sure when the next opportunity would be to try her hand at a song she had been learning...given everything that seemed to be happening.
Besides, Sol needed to learn to work with distractions...a smirk crossed her face. Let's see him stack dice now...

He shook his head, smiling sadly. "I just stay awake reading...but thank you, dear. It's just something I've gotta deal with, probably cause the rest of my chemicals are so out of whack."

"Ah, I'll never give in, there has to be some wa--" MacPere's mouth remained open as he glanced beyond Gren's head and gaped in marvel of the sight. "W-Whoa-ho there, baby..." He purred, eyes travelling over Azana's body as she sauntered by.

Sosol was just about to place the fourth die when Azana arrived downstairs, walking by in a little black dress. It dropped, knocking over the entire stack, but he didn't care.
"Wow..." was all he could say. He tried for something else, but words simply did not want to cooperate with him.
Azana smiled, shooting a wink at Sosol before approaching the stage. "I've been working on learning a song...it didn't seem right to sing it in shorts..."

Mike was absolutely starstruck at the sight of Azana in her dress and Jake had almost fallen out of his chair. Knight, however, made sure he kept his eyes on Crystal. She wasn't the jealous type, exactly, but better safe than sorry.

Sosol found his way to a table closer to the stage, looking at everyone else with a grin. If I ever doubted my luck before...
"Are you talking about--""Yeah, that one," she replied, a little nervous about actually having an audience for this one, but she had always wanted to give it a shot. She opened the CD tray, putting in one from her own collection. She took a few deep breaths as it skipped to the track she requested, the intro floating through the air...and as it began to wind down to her cue, a gloved hand caressed the microphone. "Tangled roots, tattered leaves,
cruel storm, windy waves...rough seas.
To bridge, to troll, to take one's toll.
To trick, to tease, to fall on your knees...and smile..."

She swayed with the tones of the music, her half-closed eyes scanning the crowd with a sly smile tinging each word with a bit of attitude.
Sosol had heard her singing the tune to herself in their room sometimes, but this most definitely beat all her other performances. And that dress is devastatingly beautiful...

((I need to gauge my time better...gotta run home from practicum. Be back on in 15 min!))
