Kageko felt a sudden tension come from Sosol's energy, "The thing is," she trained to explain the reason behind her curiousity, "If the 'angels' really are Angeles then wouldn't that mean that when it says that they're trying to 'conspire the death of their own' it means that they're trying to conspire their own death? It doesn't say 'death of one of their own' it just says 'death of their own'," she paused for a bit, "Of course, I might be wrong but... now that I think about it, it's possible."

Jake saw Chris and James start to work on something and was overcome with a sudden desire to locate a fallout shelter. "Any time you get two geniuses working on something that is theoretically impossible, no good can come from it. Stacy, I'm going to go help Mike on monitor duty. If these two blow something up, call me from the hospital."

"That's a possibility. We should certainly consider all the angles, here. We don't want to come at this from the wrong direction."

Stacy was unsure of how to proceed, but decide to let it go for now. Sosol was every bit as good a telepath as herself. If he didn't want her in there, it would be very difficult to get in.

"Hey guys," Kageko suggested as she watched Chris and James pore over their new task, "Why don't you create a space-like vacuum and create the perpetual-motion device in there? Isn't the reason that something has to stop moving because of the dissipation of energy in the form of heat, sound, and whatnot? From there, isn't the dissipation of energy also caused by friction. In a vacuum that has no friction or gravity, creating a perpetual motion device should be fairly easy, right?".

Gren sighed, sitting back. it seemed that discussion was over, but at least he'd put his idea out there. Nobody made major life decisions for him, and Angeles was going to help raise that girl if he had to haul her back in by the fangs. Huffing at the woman's irresponsibility, he adjusted again, frowning. There was something in MacPere's pocket digging a corner into his leg.

"Perhaps, but then the machine would be dependent upon the vacuum to function."

((It's getting late here and I have a full plate tomorrow. See you guys tomorrow afternoon, I hope.))

"N-no," Kageko tried to clear up the misunderstanding, "I don't mean a vacuum as in a cleaning vacuum. I meant a vacuum as in an area that has absolutely no friction, gravity, air resistance, or anything that can dissipate energy. For example, outer-space is a vacuum. If you can mimic the conditions in space, then it would probably be possible to make a perpetual-motion machine...."

Gren yawned, finally adjusting himself to a point where he no longer cared. Picking up MacPere, he toted the man off to bed, changed him into pajamas, finding his complete non-responsiveness amusing.

Fighting his curiousity, he let the man sleep and didn't search his pockets, instead heading back downstairs. Cleaning and washing the tea set, he tiredly strolled back up the stairs. "'Night all...hope tomorrow's a friendlier day."

(Gut nacht~!)

Seeing everyone else go up to sleep, Kageko decided that it was time for her to go and rest as well. "Good night," she whispered quietly to everyone at the inn before leaving to head to her home.

Sosol arrived downstairs, it appeared, before any of the regulars stopped by...and for once, he was relieved by this. So many telepaths, not to mention simply observant people, were starting to become suspicious of him...unfortunately, that was with good reason. It didn't help matters much that he had trouble keeping up a poker face around these people, which probably added to the mental tension they felt in him.

He walked back into the kitchen, starting a pot of Storm Stopper for himself and anyone else who felt like arguing that morning. Being alone in the Inn was the only time he felt he had to himself...sure, he could leave and run errands, but it seemed someone wanted to observe him then, too. There was the temptation to simply leave for a couple of days and sort everything out, but that would be a huge red flag...

So I'm stuck, basically, he thought as he poured the water into the pot. Lovely. I'm finally starting to understand that whole thing about curiosity killing the cat...

Gren wandered in, sunny demeanor back with a vengeance, and utterly disinclined to revisit the previous night's discussion. Time for something fresh. "Afternoon, Sol..." he smiled warmly.

Mike wandered into the inn, eager to relax and have a drink. He sat his massive frame at the bar and enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Sosol smiled in return, noticing Gren's sunny disposition starting to bubble forth again. "Hello, Gren...hm, it appears I made this a bit prematurely," he said, pointing to the pot before it hovered and poured into his new mug. "Not necessarily a bad thing, though. Still tasty, even if it's not needed."

Skuld stretched, letting out a small yawn as she came downstairs. She blinked, smiling to both Sosol and Gren. "Good...afternoon? Yes, afternoon," she smiled, though she knew Stella would likely call her back that day.

Sosol gave a loving smile to Skuld before he noticed Mike's arrival...it was hard not to. The man had a very broad, muscular frame, and came to sit almost right in front of him.

"Can I get you something?"

"What, the Storm Stopper? It's delicious, no matter what mood I'm in." he grinned, glad to avoid the elephant in the room. He waved kindly to Mike and to the soon descending Skuld. "Afternoon, sleepyhead!"

Greeting his friends, he looked to Sosol and said, "I wouldn't mind some of that concoction. I don't believe I've tried it before and, if it's as good as you and Gren say, I figure I'll give it a go. That's me. Try anything once."

Sosol nodded. "Of course...I think I have some spare in the back, if you want to take some back to the others," he offered as the pot poured on its own. He placed the mug in front of Mike, quickly pulling out cream, sugar, and honey.

"I'm sorry," she apologized sheepishly. "I don't normally sleep so late..." At the scent of the tea and the sight of the honey, a soft smile crossed her face again.

Sosol looked past the two men to his sister, deciphering her statement as only he could. With a slight pang of guilt, he poured her a mug of the tea as well, putting in as much honey as he figured she'd like. "Don't worry about it too much, Skuld. I mean, Az is still asleep, isn't she?"

"Actually..." She pointed to the table where the puzzle box usually rested, revealing it to be empty. "I'm not sure how long she's been up..."
