Gren sipped his tea, then added a pinch of sugar and cream. "Have a hard time falling asleep? Boy, I can relate...try some melatonin; it usually does the trick." he smiled gently, stirring.
At the motion toward the box, he blinked curiously. "She's still working it over, huh? I don't envy her...I'm terrible at those things."

"Melatonin...I will see if I am allowed that," she said with a nod before looking over at the box-free table with Gren's comment.
"I envy her..." Skuld said quietly, taking a sip from the mug. "She and James can become so engrossed and focused that everything else simply melts away. That, and her determination to finish it...I doubt it will be much longer." At the last sentence, she gave a sly smile back toward Sosol.
Sosol watched the two converse as he awaited feedback from Mike. Skuld always had a problem with her focus...she would have been able to lift by now if she weren't so sensitive to everything around her to the point of distraction. Her mention of the box being solved soon just added to his own nervousness...he wasn't sure he was quite ready for that moment.

"That's not always such a good thing, though..." he said, taking another sip. "But then, I guess that's an opinion. I always wind up thinking too much."
He looked about, and strolled up to the crane jar. "I oughta get back into this..." he said, scrawling "Skuld" across a paper and beginning to slowly fold.

Mike took a sip of the drink, thought for a moment, then drained the rest in a single gulp. Wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, he set the mug on the counter and said "That's pretty good. I'll have another."
Stacy and Crystal came in, all smiles and took a seat next to Mike at the bar. "Hi, Mike. Enjoying your drink?"
"Yeah. It's good stuff. You should try it. Sol, a round for these lovely ladies."

Sosol chuckled at Mike's glowing review, pulling out another pair of mugs and pouring out another round for the three superheroes. As he swished the pot slightly, he shook his head.
"Didn't think I'd have to go back and make more so soon...I'll be right back," he said, disappearing back into the kitchen to put more water on the boil.
Skuld walked over at sat next to Gren, taking a paper and writing "Crystal Wade". "I know it's not always a good thing...but to be able to take your mind off something like that, to temporarily suspend the world around you...maybe I could sleep better if I did..."

Gren smiled sadly, finishing his crane and dropping it in, beginning another for Emily. "I don't really have any way to relate...I mean, I just pick up stuff from watching people and deducing what's going on. Being a psychic, though...sounds really cool, but it's gotta be the pits if you pick up on stuff whether you like it or not."
He glanced to her, a crooked grin his apology. "I'm sorry about all of this...the whole Inn's thing right now. And, well, if I'm contributing to the bad dreams..."

"You're right, Gren." Stacy said. "It's not easy being able to read people's minds. It made childhood...difficult. No secrets, no surprises. People would tell you one thing and think another. It was hard. But I realized all the good that can come from it. Now I wouldn't trade it for the world."

"That's when you learn to defend your mind," Sosol said rather solemnly, returning with a fresh pot for the room. "Skuld needs some help with that."
Skuld glared over to Sosol. "I haven't had a need, Brother," she answered, aggravation in her voice.
"Between Delphi and Stella's Office, probably not," he said calmly. "But how can you possibly expect to come to a place like this and think that everyone will shield themselves from you?"
Skuld recoiled somewhat at the accusation. "...you don't want me here..."
"Skuld, I didn't mean--"
Before he could explain, Skuld stood up and stormed out of the Inn, slamming the door behind her.

Watching this with raised eyebrows, Gren sipped his tea quietly. "Want me...to go after her?" he said eventually, looking concernedly to Sosol.

The girls didn't wait for an invitation. They both shot Sosol a dirty look and followed the young oracle while Mike simply stared into his mug and muttered under his breath "That went well."

Sosol buried his face in his palm, shaking his head. "I should've known better than to bring that up here..." He refilled his mug, leaning on the bar.
"Skuld is the youngest of us...and, unfortunately, the least developed. She could be amazing if she'd just control herself a bit better..."

Gren set down his cup and strolled to the bar, patting Sosol on the back. "I'm guessing it's a sensitive subject...and she probably got a lot of guff back at the GMO about it. Still, it's an important point, so it wasn't that you brought it up...she's probably just touchy about it."

Sosol took a long drink from his mug, his eyes fixated on the door. "I suppose...I was just hoping she would have found a good teacher by now. That Stella wouldn't allow her to run around like this..."
A thought occurred to him, and a sly smile crossed his face. "She's good...really good..."
