Azana's cheer faded slightly as she hadn't thought about that fact. Eli and Gren, both only children, both feeling somewhat guilty about the grandchild issue...sure, there was Emily, but it just wasn't the same. Then again...she had no one to give grandchildren to...
"I'd love to see them regardless," Sosol said, almost wishing he had more pictures. If he could track down his parents (a difficult task, unfortunately), he'd have to ask about them...
Mitsukai's statement caught Azana's attention. "That's never fun," she commented, saying nothing more on the subject.

Gren shrugged calmly. "Well, there is that...but I didn't know it was a contest for whose got a worse life going on...and that would take all night, with everyone here."
He stood, smiling. "Sure, I'd love to get 'em...and hey, Az, don't look so glum...it's a nice night." He smiled gently and took to the stairs, soon coming down with a stack of photographs, covering the family across his childhood and early 20's. "Here we are...My youth in a nutshell."

Sosol looked over the photographs, a soft smile as he caught flashes of joy and love with each picture. "They seem like wonderful people," he said warmly.
Azana brought a smile back to her face. "Sorry," she apologized with a chuckle, "I didn't mean to get all depressive." As Sosol flipped through the photographs, she stood up and approached the bar, awaiting her turn.

"Hey, that's all right." he grinned. "Everyone's entitled to a case of the blues. But I like you too much to let you get caught up in one over nothing."
He glanced back to Sosol. "I think they are, anyhow...people say I take after Mom." he picked up a shot from high school, grinning. "I still fit that uniform..." he chuckled.

Azana nodded. "Yeah, thanks for that." A smile crossed her face...it was always a pick-me-up to know that she was liked. "So, let me take a look at this uniform shot..."
"You're kidding...!" Sosol said in disbelief, looking at the high school picture. "I grew out of all mine...don't have them anymore."

Gren laughed, waving Azana over. "I grew fast when I was young...shot up like a weed; I was a senior at that age...and already about full height. Brought the uniform from my last trip; Eli didn't believe me when I said I could, so I had to prove him wrong."

"Wow, you're right...you're really tall compared to most of the people there," Azana said with a grin before snatching some others from Sosol to look through them. "Awww...you're so cute!"
Sosol didn't protest the loss of the pictures; he had finished looking through that group anyway, and besides, she seemed to like seeing the past of others in the only way she could. It made him wish even more than he had access to those pictures of him as a child. All he had were of the same age range, between the start of his training and his entry into Delphi. After that, there's a gap until he began living with Azana.

"I know how that is," Sosol said with a chuckle; after all, the two shared almost the same height, and, it seemed, the same hesitation toward sports. "Then again, I wasn't really asked until recently..."
Azana finished looking through the pictures, beaming at the opportunity to see a younger Gren. She would have to bring hers sometime...had they even unpacked that box yet?

"Not at all! I mean, come on, your hobbies are tame compared to some of my old pals in the GMO," Azana replied with a laugh, relinquishing the photos.
Sosol nodded, handing over the picture. "It's no problem...though I feel bad that I don't have as many pictures to--" He stopped speaking suddenly, feeling a familiar energy outside the Inn.
"Skuld...!" He said, both relieved and overjoyed as he dashed out of the Inn to meet her.
"H-hey, wait up!" Azana called happily, following.
((Gotta go home. Will continue from there in about 45 min or so!))

"Normal, huh? Sounds like a good story..." he chuckled. At their dash to collect Skuld, he smiled, setting the photos down and beginning a nice pot of chamomile, digging out a honey he'd hidden away for a special occasion.

Skuld burst through the door, taking a few steps to slow down to a standstill. She was panting heavily, Tyler's bag still at her side. As her gaze rose to the main room, she spotted Gren sitting peacefully at the bar.
"Gren...!" She said, dropping the bag as she ran forward toward him.

Sitting mellow with his tea, he snapped to look at the sudden commotion, adjusting his posture with only a moment to spare as Skuld dove for him. "What's the matter? You look like you've seen a ghost!"
