Baldur set the glass into the sink and walked out of the kitchen and up the stairs. He was going to change back. He then stopped and froze as he heard something. He narrowed his eyes and concentrated on it, wondering what it was.

Stretching, he helped himself to some of the cooling crepes. "I have missed these..." he grinned, slicing a banana onto the Nutella-spread crepe.

Zulma smiled at Gren. "Well have some then!" she was happy that people seemed to enjoy her pancakes and crepes.
She noticed Anansi heading back up, but the man froze. Zulma frowned and stood up.
"What is it?" she asked the man as she closed the distance between them. Her voice was serious and she was very attentive.

Tucking in with vigor, he glanced up after a few bites, noting the odd behavior, but remaining observant. Was he missing something?

((One thing I hate most about being home: the dog...can't seem to bear being outside in beautiful weather when I am indoors.))
Azana was about to explain the situation, but it seemed the moment had passed. That was fine by her; the less she had to talk it over, the better. Even with Vincente and Knight, their last excursion would have been a suicide mission had it come down to combat. Who in their right mind would go back?
Sosol sat down next to Tyler, watching him work on the belt. Everything about it confused him, but he hoped to gain at least a basic understanding of what was going on.
Skuld emerged in the main room, looking around at everyone. Tension abounded, not least from Anansi. She made her way toward Gren, giving a questioning glance toward Zulma and Anansi. However, it seemed he had no idea either, and she simply chose to sit across the table and keep him company.

Zulma nodded in silence for a moment, then she looked at the man.
It was not at all the appropriate moment plus he had asked for the silence, yet she dared.
"Anansi, I don't know you very much, but.... I like you...a lot.. and I would like to get to know you more."
Now that was said, there was no turning back. She forced herself to look at the man with courage.

At Anansi's demand for silence, the quartet said absolutely nothing more. Azana took a ready stance, hoping that he was simply overreacting.
Sosol looked up from Tyler's repairs, noticing Azana's change. Like we don't already have enough on our plate, he thought to himself, focusing on the space just beyond Anansi.
Tyler shook his head and continued with the repairs, trying to keep his work as quiet as possible. If something happened, he'd worry then.
Skuld felt the rise in tension, trying to ignore it. This was the Inn of Peace...it was probably nothing...right?

Baldur turned slowly and looked at Zulma, his lips parted slightly in surprise. His mind raced for something to say and he began to stammer, "Zulma... I-I...."

Zulma was smiling at the man, obviously he did not expect her to say something like that.
"That's alright. I don't want to pressure you or anything. It's just, ...I wanted to be honest with you, so that you understand why I am ...sometimes strange when I am around you."
The words were coming so easily now that she had started. She was glad she spoke. Maybe he would reject her, maybe not, but now he knew when she felt. Still she had no clue what he thought.

Chris and Crystal walked hand in hand into the Inn with Jake following behind. The young couple had just enjoyed a romantic picnic and decided to come back here for drinks. Chris noticed Azana geared up and Tyler working on some things and walked over to them. "What's happening, guys?"

"Hey you two!" waved Zulma with a smile. "Oh nothing much..." she half lied and pulled away from Anansi, although she was dying to hear something else from him than 'I' and her first name.
She headed for the counter and prepared some drinks for the couple and herself.
"Here you go!" she offered to Knight and Crystal.

Tyler looked up at the superheroes, smiling in greeting. "Well, you're just in time," he said, keeping his voice down. "I have some things to talk to you about..."
Sosol waved to Chris, Crystal, and Jake, though he pouted as Zulma took care of their drinks. She had a certain way of making him feel useless.
