Sighing, he wiggled his fingers. Another few hours, he'd hit them with another shot of holy water, and they'd be fine. Still, when one does so much by hand, it's hard to lose the habit. "Sol, you feel like doing anything? A game?"

"As long as it isn't poker," he answered with a soft laugh. "You are scary behind a hand of cards..."
Tyler came back downstairs, panting for breath. "Well...it's...up there..." He said between breaths, sitting back down at the table with a sigh of relief. "I didn't realize how much I took..."

"Nah, something easy, like black jack...betting for pretzels, nothing serious." he smiled gently. "Tyler, cards. You want in?"

"Let me see if I can find a fresh bag," Sosol replied, standing from the table. "Should I grab anything else while I'm up?"
"Of course," Tyler answered the invitation, adjusting his glasses with a devious smile. "You'll regret it, though."
Azana chuckled...she actually liked blackjack, but the mystery of the box proved to be more interesting. She promised she'd solve it today, and even if it meant staying up all night, that's what she'd do!

"Whatever else you think makes decent tender..." he chuckled. "Don't get your hopes up, Tyler, it's not for cash...and I'm quite a card shark myself."

"Since when do I care about money?" Tyler retorted, watching as Sosol left to find something to use. "I'm sure you'll find me a formidable opponent..."
Sosol dug around the kitchen, finding a large bag of pretzels, a box of crackers, and a bag of chocolate candies for variety.
Azana looked up at Gren and Tyler, stifling a giggle. This is gonna get good, I just know it...

"How would I know? We've barely met." he quipped, grinning. "But a super genius like you can't always stand up to luck..."

"Try me."
Sosol returned, gazing in confusion at the two. "...did I miss something?" He asked, putting down the items. "I found pretzels, crackers, and chocolates...will that work?"
Azana worked on her box, but only half-heartedly. She knew about Gren's card skills, and she couldn't help but be curious how well Tyler actually would stand up to them.

"Ha, feisty...Nice."
At Sosol's entrance, he picked up the bag of pretzels. "Fantastic...crackers are 5, pretzels 10, chocolates 20. Fair?"

"I'm glad you approve." Tyler nodded in agreement to Gren's system. "We'll each start at, hm, 300?"
"That's as good of a number as any," Sosol said with a shrug, not entirely into the idea but happy to take a break anyway. "Did we agree on a game?" He asked, returning to his seat and producing a deck of playing cards.
"I think it was blackjack," Azana reminded them, sliding another piece of the box. The end seemed within her grasp...

"Nice. And yeah, blackjack. Join or quit any time." He took the amount evenly from each section, getting up and fetching a deck of standard cards.

Sosol began to take his share when Gren left to get a deck. "But I already--"
"I think he plans to use more than one deck...let me guess, reshuffling everything after each hand?" He asked. Gren knew what he was doing, he'd give him that...then again, counting cards was a rather low way of showing his capabilities.
Sosol shrugged, not really preferring one way over the other, and looked to Azana. He got both more excited and more nervous as she approached the puzzle's solution. What would she think of what was inside?
Azana looked at the snacks on the table, then to each of the three men. With a mischievous smile of her own, she began to take her 300...

He returned, deck in hand. "Oh, you already got one? Heh, sorry...Silly me." He sat down, dealing four cards face-down. "Welcome to the group, Az..." he said, dealing four face-up. He'd landed a three.

Tyler smirked as a face-up seven landed in front of him. Let's just see what you're made of, Gren..
Azana looked at a queen. I've gotta make up for last time!
Sosol nodded at a five. "Alright..."
((And I have errands to run. I'll be back on later in the evening. Until then, I guess we're all playing cards! Yay!))

Glancing at his face-down card, he hit, taking a six. "Anyone else?"
(Okay! Hope we play by the same rules...)
