Sigh, just got my timetable and I got the suckiest English teacher in school. I fell asleep in the first 5 minutes of the lesson and got sent out of class into detention...that was funny xD
2 major chem tests and 3 minor bio tests next week. Fun.

LOL... school my frikin biology teacher suggested a topic, it ended up getting denied... by the same teacher... now submition is tommorow and I have no topic to show... help?

Edit- Experimental topic, the school year project...

Plus... I doubt all my friends for reasons even i dont know... well actually some i do but meh thats rather personal for forums ^_^

1) How does the amount of caffeine intake affect our reaction rates? (I did this one some time ago)
2) Does the percentage of cocoa in chocolates affect the calories? (I did this one as well)
3) How does the height of the starting block affect the speed of the sprinter? (My friend did this)
4) To what degree does the amount of sunlight exposure affect the growth of plants? (this one's hard but there's a way you can do it)
5) Which fruit is the best for making invisible ink? (I did this one 3 years ago xD)
6) How does the amount of sleep affect your memory? (My friend did this)

Lol me not smart, but I think I'm quite studious. *is on Gaia right no instead of studying for test*

1) What we did was we got a bunch of people and fed them 2 caffeine pills each (I think it was 200mg?), wait for 2 hours for the effects to kick in, then tell them to play a game that was specifically programmed to test reaction rates...but I don't think you can get that programme just anywhere. Hmm.

2) Lol my friend actually bought chocolates of different cocoa percentages then tried burning them...SINNER. But it worked, but I forgot which percentage it was that burned the longest.

3) Yeah it's a mix of physics/bio, cuz of the muscle movements and everything. What she did was she got a bunch of people on a track field, adjust the starting block to different heights and told them to sprint 20 meters for 5 times each.

6) It's actually pretty easy, get a bunch of people, ask them how much sleep they usually get, then get them to play a memory game.

1) Hmm..I think you have to buy it, but I'm not too sure. It's called BTL Alertness test, it not only measures your reaction rate but alertness as well.

2) Lol yeah, it's kinda depressing when you see the chocolate burning...

3) Well similar heights would work, as long as it's not a midget and another giant person.

6) Hypothetically yeah. I forgot why though, something about pre-synaptic neuron and adenosine receptors or something.

1) No idea...I did it in a summer camp in University of Toronto.

2) Yeah, you literally burn it...put it on a gauze and bunsen burner, watch it BURN...

3) Well you're not really measuring if one's faster than the other, you're measuring how much faster they are after the starting blocks are raised. So doesn't really matter, but you have to compare results.

6) LOL I'm in Year 13, going into uni next year. You?
