Zulma looked at the man, a little smirk came to her lips for a second at the curse. But his attitude, his expression and his eyes made her sad more than anything. She would not be looking for answers, not yet, although she had barely no doubt about the 'she' Baldur was whispered about. She would not be mad, not at him. He did not deserve it. She should be angry at herself for being so blind and stupid. Yet she would not be able to trust it, would she?
When Baldur got on his knees by her, Zulma wanted to pass her hand in his hair. She wanted to pull him against her, she wanted to curl against his chest and fall asleep as she used to when he was just Baldur.
His words reached her heart. "Baldur..." she whispered. Then it hit her. She remembered all the moments she spent with him as a panther or a human.
"You make me happy." she murmured, her eyes searching his. She was smiling, a deep peaceful smile.
With tenderness, the innkeeper kissed the man's forehead then she stood up and headed for her room. She needed to clean up and dress up. Then she needed to eat. She felt weak. Once in her room, taking her shower, she realized that...Baldur had seen her naked more than once!!! The thought made her blush and laugh at once. She dried herself and got dress, then headed for the kitchen where she prepared a little breakfast, just for herself. She ate quickly and headed back for her room, she was tired. She fell asleep quickly.

Dousing the gashes in holy water a final time, their healing rapid, he sighed thankfully that he hadn't had chunks taken out by December's bite. He flexed his fingers calmly, feeling no give of the tendon, ache of the muscle. He was back to top health, and now very angry. No more fooling around, no more lies, no more deceit.
(I shan't be about much this weekend...busy times.)

Tyler arrived downstairs, looking over the main floor and settling his gaze on Azana's puzzle box. He realized with a smile that she had solved it after he retired for the evening, but obviously had not actually gotten around to opening it as of yet.
Curiosity getting the better of him, he strolled over and slipped open the lid, letting out a low whistle at what was inside. He picked up the velvety red box and opened it as well, surprised at its contents.
How did he pick this up on a bartender's budget? Sure, he has the payroll from the GMO...but this...something's going on here. Careful to leave no trace of his spying, he replaced the ring box in its wooden exterior, sliding the lid closed once more. He was going to have a talk with Sosol next time he was available.

Chris walked into the Inn, lost in thought. So much had happened over the last few days, and this place of peace was anything but peaceful lately. He was concerned, not just for his friends but for himself. He felt his methods had become a bit more extreme than what they used to be, and he feared for his sanity.

Tyler waved to Chris in greeting, but it had little effect on the superhero. He was clearly dwelling on something...probably involving Angeles. That was on everyone's mind anymore.
"...you still in there, Chris?" He asked. "There's only room for one mad genius here..."
Sosol pushed open the Inn door, walking in with some supplies and taking them back toward the kitchen. He glanced at the box with a sigh; Azana obviously hadn't come downstairs yet...

Chris started at the interruption but calmed down when he saw Tyler. "I'm sorry, Tyler. I've had a lot on my mind lately. What's new?"

Kageko came into the inn after another errand that her friend had sent her on. "Someone mind updating me on what's happened with Angeles?" she asked as soon as she checked the auras throughout the inn.

Lucifer's eyes opened and he blinked once before sitting up from his spot. The werewolf was still there, but the panther was gone. He curled his hands into fists before standing up and going to the kitchen to drink some of the blood they had there.
Kru had nodded off and he jerked awake as someone's voice had escalated and he saw someone he did not recognize.

"Eh, not much, really," Tyler said casually, pulling himself up a chair. "Spent most of yesterday talking and playing cards...we've got a couple new guys, though."
He gestured back toward Lucifer and Kru. "They're a cheerful bunch...they haven't stopped watching one another since they arrived."
Sosol emerged just in time for Kageko to arrive. "Ah! Kageko...I haven't seen you in a couple of days!" Her question about Angeles struck a chord with him, though, and his cheer faded.
"...perhaps you'll need to sit down for this...can I get you something?"

"That's what happens when you put a vampire and a werewolf in close quarters" he chuckled. 'Listen, Tyler, about that device I gave you. I hope I didn't give you the wrong impression, tracing it like that. I certainly didn't intend to spy on you."

"Lougarou, please," said Kru as he put his crossbow back in his coat and stretched again before shaking himself awake. Lucifer ignored the humans as he took a bottle of blood and began to drink from it without pause.

Tyler shrugged and shook his head. "It can't be helped...if I had suspicions that my work would be stolen, I'd do the same, and then some." A slightly sadistic smile crossed his face as ideas flashed through his head, anti-theft now bubbling in the back of his mind.
"Anyway, actually it will come in handy. I've been thinking about our whole problem...among other things, of course. Just can't keep focused sometimes."
Sosol approached Kageko with a glass of water, lacking any knowledge of her preferences, and looked at her with downcast eyes.
"Things have gotten worse...she took Emily," he said. "Gren, Zulma, and Baldur took some damage trying to prevent her escape. Everyone's recovered for the most part, to my knowledge...but no one is speaking well of her anymore."

Kageko gave Sosol a curious look but complied and sat down, her eyes darting momentarily at Lucifer and the werewolf as she tried to figure out why they were here. Her eyes weren't hostile, merely curious. However, that rapidly changed when she heard the news. Immediately, her eyes furrowed slightly into a frown as she took in the new information and figured out how to react to it.

Kru turned to look at Sosol with almost a sad expression before walking over to one of the more comfortable chairs, his back hurt a bit from falling asleep on the table. When you are done speaking to the young woman he said to Sosol, I would like to speak with you.

Sosol watched Kageko's face shift expressions and let a small sigh. "I'm sorry, Kageko...I wish I had better news." As he was about try and cheer her up once more, Kru's voice echoed through his mind.
Erm...sure... He answered hesitantly before returning his attention to Kageko. "I know you believed in her...and I don't blame you if you still do...but our viewpoint is nearing unanimity."
Tyler was already planning for them, analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of his allies...though the newcomers offered some fresh research material.
That can wait for later...you've got a kid and an artist waiting on ya. He thought about Remy momentarily...he hadn't sent any text messages yesterday. Either he had gotten busted with the phone, or something had happened...for everyone's sake, he hoped for the first.
