Angeles smiled then cackled, "never," she said shaking her head, "I never controlled my summons, they did what they did willingly. I told Kru he did not need to help me. That he was free, all I simply said, was that I needed help. As for Elenora, I attacked her out of rage, reason came afterward.

I know that you cared about me, I knew that you would not just run in to kill me, that was why I did what i did, to break that trust," Her vision returned then and she focused hard eyes on him, "I don't even trust myself, what warrents your trust in me!?" she stood up, her eyes turning red, "and yes if you continue to stay near me you will die and I will be the one to kill you. I am a Stroker, not Gaian, not Atwater-Rhodes, I will kill you whether I want to or not!"

His lip curled in a sneer. "Kill me, huh? Tch...if you were going to do that, you could've gotten to the point a long time ago. Course, the fact you haven't means you have a choice in the matter, but you've obviously decided, and what you are is to blame, apparently." He snorted in derision. "I hate people who act like they're the only ones who aren't happy. You're wasting your eternity."

He drained his coffee cup. "You can try to kill me, but not at the moment. I've got someone to live for. If you've waited this long, you can wait longer." He glared. "And you're gonna, believe me. You're going to take a few responsibilities for your little temper tantrum."

(Second to last post...he's pretty raring to go, but I'm le tired...@_@ )

Angeles bore her fangs, "you honestly think that I believe my death is enough to pay for what I've done? Don't think me so shallow," she snarled, "my 'temper tantrum' is going to have to go unpunished. MacPere will end me before Elenora sees me alive and you think i'm not happy!?" she threw her table, aiming to miss Gren, "this place is the only sanctuary I have known in all my life! You people my only friends, you don't think I wasn't happy!?" she cursed severly in her native language before speaking, "yes, I was happy, you were happy, MacPere was happy, everyone in this ******** inn was happy, and I am sick and tired of everyone's demons walking into this place and taking that happiness away!"

She turned and drew her claws against the wall before she went completely numb and fell to the ground, "a moment of sorrow would be worth the rest of a lifetime of peace and happiness! DENY THOSE WORDS ARE TRUE I DARE YOU!"
PostPosted: Wed May 12, 2010 11:09 pm

He watched the table shatter against the wall and shook his head. "They aren't, because that doesn't happen in reality. Peace and happiness are nothing without sorrows to compare with. Demons chase everyone, no matter where they go. It's inevitable in every life. Your death would only bring more pain and regret to this place, not a lifetime of peace, and you know that. If you can't understand why, then just consider what we've put ourselves through for the last few weeks."

He rinsed his cup solemnly in the sink and set it aside for the next day's use. "This isn't the Dark Ages. Deaths in small scales won't help anything. Besides, I'm not killing anyone's mother." He looked straight at her, blue eyes steady. "Not when she's coming to my wedding."

(Good night! ^_^)

"We have all had enough suffering to compare," she growled in a low tone as Gren washed his cup. She was about to retaliate again but her voice caught in her throat. She looked at Gren with somewhat wide eyes as tears escaped the corners of them. She made a sound halfway through a cough and a sob and turned to her side and began to hoist herself back onto her feet.

"Do you really want me at your wedding?" she asked looking over at Gren, considerably calmer, "honestly? Not to mention that I would not be able to be in the same area as any sort of priest, considering what I am."

"Yes, I do."

Gren held up his thumb and forefinger, nearly pressing the two together. "Consider this. I'm about yea far from another psychotic breakdown. I doubt I'm going to sleep on my own for a while without passing out from exhaustion. I've barely gotten back all of the blood I lost in a very pointless fight, and you've made me pretty damn mad."

"But,"
he added, with an annoyed look, "I'm firmly under the impression that with understanding comes acceptance. I understand why you did what you did. I can accept what you did. I don't like it at all, but it confirms just what I think of you. I can't guarantee Eli will agree to have you there, and I can work with his mother, who now, by the way, has a trauma stutter. But all of this...it all does rather depend on whether or not he even wakes up. Your stupid idea put the love of my life in a coma."

Angeles went silent as she looked at Gren. his words replayed in her mind and eventually her gaze fell to the ground. She turned and sat back down in her chair, resting her arms against her legs and bowing her head so that her hair covered her face. She could not understand it at all.

He took in the conversation while he was working, still unsure about removing the Crimson Red subroutines. He was a little surprised that after everything that had happened, Gren was still inviting Angeles to the wedding. But he recognized that it would serve as a good step in helping her reconnect with the others at the Inn. People who, no doubt, would hold a grudge against her for some time would see Gren's invitation as a sign of acceptance and a willingness to let bygones be bygones and move forward. He thought it a good idea and hoped it would work.

It also made him think about what he could do to make peace with Angeles. It wouldn't be easy. It was ultimately him who was responsible for her plan failing and her current condition and imprisonment. He had little doubt that she bore a great deal of animosity towards him and making peace would be an uphill battle.

Tyler walked into the Inn with a yawn, carrying an item that one almost never saw on him...an actual briefcase. He sat back down at his laptop, looking over the information; there were still a couple of details to add to Gren's life story, but overall it was shaping up quite well.

Sosol came down the stairs, having slept relatively little due to Angeles' shouts the night before, and offered a wave to Tyler. He pointed to the empty coffeepot, offering to make a new batch, but the response was negative.

"Come here a second," he said, still working on his pet project while wondering what Azana had in mind the day before. Apparently, the two of them were on different pages, yet both involved a plan of Gren's...

"How's the identity--where did you get a briefcase?" Sosol asked as he approached, surprised at the change. The genius still carried his normal messenger bag, but this seemed entirely out of character.

"It's on loan from an old contact...needed something sturdier to put the documents in. Took all night to get the papers and licenses just right. Just putting the icing on it all; while Gren's picky, there's still a little wiggle room." He stopped typing momentarily, looking up to Sosol.

"I thought having all this done and over with would make you less troubled..."

"Well, maybe...but..." His eyes wandered over to Angeles, unsure if she was resting or unconscious once more.

"Look, Sol--okay if I call you that?" At the bartender's nod, Tyler continued. "I know you're pretty new to the operative's life...but you can't dwell on every decision you make. You're going to face problems, especially if you stick with Azana, that don't have easy answers, and some of them are going to make you enemies."

He lowered his voice, a genuine grin crossing his face. "If it's any comfort, I think you made the right one."

Angeles felt herself slipping again as the sun had risen, but she was aware of a few people coming into the room. She bent slowly and lifted one of the larger splinters of wood from the table she broke from the floor. She then turned, her eyes glaring at the telepath as she pulled back her arm and threw the piece of wood at him, smacking him in the head.

She said nothing though and went back to her previous position. She had maybe a few minutes left before her brain was destroyed to the point where she was completely nonfunctional.

Baldur was the next one to come down, still wearing the blanket around his waist as the inn had run out of its supply of spare pants in his size. He glanced at Angeles, then Gren and Knight, then Sol and Tyler before he went into the kitchen for a glass of water.

Sosol flinched as the wood from the table connected, and for a split second he had the notion of sending it straight back through her heart. Taking a breath and shoving the violent thought aside, he made his way to the bar, pulling out some cola for Tyler, as well as one for himself. He wasn't happy with the idea of becoming dependent on caffeine, but until everything had blown over, it seemed like more sleepless nights were ahead.

Tyler quirked an eyebrow at the sudden toss and glared at Angeles before getting back to his work. For a 500-year-old vampire, she sure can be petty... He thought, thankful that Sosol hadn't decided to retaliate. He could see it, though, that look in his eyes...exactly how long did the operative intend to hold onto his pacifist ideals?

Rolling his eyes at the childish display, Gren glanced at Sosol. "You all right?" Also looking at Tyler, he added "How's it coming along?"

Angeles' eyes closed and with one last exhale fell forward out of her seat and onto the ground again, out once more until sundown. Baldur came from the kitchen with his water and sipped at it, glancing at Angeles before walking over to the group of men, "what are you doing?" he asked with honest curiosity.

"Forging my history." he said casually. "You healed up okay, Baldur?"

Baldur tilted his head slightly before looking down at himself. The wounds had been too great to heal up completely, there was a large scar in the center of his chest and his side between his ribs. They would be difficult to hide, "that depends on whether Zulma thinks I healed up fine or not," he said softly looking back up at Gren, "and you?"
