"Hm...I've been edging toward the opposite, myself," Sosol replied, walking over with a nod to the other person. He had seen that one before, but the name just wasn't coming to him. "If I had been cynical, I don't think I would have half the blessings I do in life..."
"You're just lucky," Tyler muttered from another table, having slipped in relatively unnoticed. "Believe me...give it a couple years."

"Daddy?" asked Emily holding more flowers, "what are these ones?" She waled over and crawled up onto the couch beside Gren and set the flowers on his lap.

At Emily's question, he beamed and took up a plant. "Well, this one's a poppy...It's usually red or orange, and they grow fast."

"Let them think they're old," Azana said, arriving downstairs about halfway through the conversation. She shook her head and smirked at Gren. "Though I would disagree with him all day long."
"...thanks," Tyler said, his tone sarcastic as he looked over the list again. Taking it back from James was the easy part...it was figuring out what it meant that was the challenge.
Sosol chuckled, though the humor didn't last as long as he hoped. He still owed Eli a visit...but he didn't want to interrupt any time with Emily.

Azana glanced over to the familiar face and smiled. "...Hayabusa, right? Been a while since I've seen any of you guys around here...especially Erik. Stella's not workin' him that hard, is she?"
Tyler gave a nod of agreement, though his recent accomplishments, while impressive, were less than pleasant to think about. He could still feel the tension between himself and his co-workers, even the ones with no memory of him or knowledge of what almost came to pass.
It's not all negative, though... He thought, pulling himself back into the present. There was the Inn, and the people in it...Gren, Stacy, even Angeles to a degree.
"You do have a point there," Sosol replied in her place, standing nearby. A lot had happened, to everyone, since they first arrived. Whether positive or negative, this place seemed to be a catalyst for all sorts of changes.

Emily giggled, 'poppy,' sounded funny to her. She took Gren's hair and began to braid it again, putting the flowers into it as she pleased.

"Nah, he's actually taking a little honeymoon time." He said, though he always seemed to be somewhere nearby like he knew if he was going to be called. "He's gonna be away from here for a good long while."

"Way too late for me to worry about that," Tyler said, pointing up to his own head. "It's not as bad as people make it sound, though...don't really get the whole stigma around it."
Sosol chuckled lightly; he had seen Gren braided once before by the child, and it seemed that the act hadn't yet grown old for Emily. Then again, there weren't many other worthy targets...sure, Stella, maybe, but she had been around less and less often.
I hope she's doing alright...she seemed pretty shaken when she heard all the news.
Azana blinked. "Wait...you mean like an actual honeymoon? I didn't even know the guy was dating anyone..."
