Azana listened to Gren's question with interest. "I think it's reasonable," she answered quickly, though she fell silent soon after. She did have the best of intentions...though what did it matter, if it hurt people she supposedly cared about?
Sosol gave it considerably more thought, staring straight ahead. "...I suppose not...though, in my opinion...it seems a bit odd, forgiving Tyler, forgiving me so quickly, but Angeles, someone you've known longer than the two of us combined, is left with your anger."

Gren smiled at the bead collection, playing with a few bright colors. "For that, it's easy. It's a matter of trust. I barely knew Tyler, but I could relate to his point of view in teh situation. You fessed up about lying, so I let it go, since I could understand yours. Angeles...she's done things for me, that she didn't have to. She's saved my sorry hide several times. I had a little more stock in her than she liked, I suppose..."

"You understand our situations...but not hers," Sosol summarized, watching Gren with the beads. "Above that, it was not only the pain of her actions but the fact that you were close." He gave a small nod.
"It's reasonable, then," he said at last, his usual grin fading away slowly.
"I totally get that," Azana commented, looking down into her glass. "The closer they are...the worse it is."

"Yeah...she's explained it twice and it still sounds moronic..." he sighed. "So that new guy, saying that she's hiding something? I want to know."
He sighed, setting down the beads and letting Emily play with Remy again. Rubbing his forehead, he set his elbow on the bar, resting his head in the palm. "So, naturally, in a fit of rage, I invited her to the wedding, assuming I don't rot away like some kind of Miss Havisham figure."

Azana glanced to Gren. "I'm sure we all would...but this is Angeles we're talking about." The mention of the wedding saddened her, though, an expression she hid behind a sip of her drink. Eli remained in the hospital...each day, the lack of his presence became more and more pronounced. Not only that, but with all the activity, she had given her future with Sosol little to no thought at all.
Sosol said nothing, fixing himself something to drink. He searched for something to say...but it seemed that silence was the best thing for the moment.
I...I hope I didn't ruin things here...

"True enough...but when's the last time you saw her cowed by anyone who just walked in? There's something about that guy. She'll fess up...if she wants to protect those memories..." he said, grinning crookedly at the pair. "Hey, didn't mean to bring down the room...they say that the first three months have the highest odds of waking up, right?"

Azana looked up at him, offering a grin in response. "Sorry...I guess I'm just tired..." She stood up from the nearly empty glass, offering a wave as she headed up the stairs to her room. She usually excelled at cheering others up...but this just wasn't her night.
Sosol summoned the glass back to him, watching his fiance leave. "I'm sure...everyone's going to be fine."

"You think so?" He smiled, a bit sadly, and stood. "Kinda wish I had your confidence...but hearing someone say it keeps the hope alive, Sol. Thank you..." he said, picking up Emily and taking her to bed with quiet good nights all around.

Sosol gave a nod, waving Gren and Emily off before cleaning up around the bar. Hope...guess that's something I'm good for. All these cynics... He shook his head, looking around the quickly emptying main room then toward the stairs. Quickly finishing the last little bit of cleaning, he left for upstairs...it seemed Azana had something on her mind, and with any hope, he could help with that, too.

Gren sighed, drinking a cup of coffee. His taste for tea had quite diminished over the last week or so. It never tasted right, not matter how brewed. He slumped his chin into his hand. "I guess...I'd better pick up on some of those responsibilities I've left off..."

Sosol glanced down at the note on the bar...Gren had gone to visit Eleanora. He picked up the note, folding it and placing it into his pocket as he took care of sweeping the main room's floor. He and Azana had quite the conversation the night before, and while they both seemed to feel better about things, it seemed their future was still up in the air. Given the trouble magnets in the Inn and Stella's tendency to come up with missions at all the wrong times, it almost seemed like they'd be retired before any wedding planning could occur...
Though...Stella hasn't been very talkative lately. I know things aren't slow right now. Is she leaving us alone on purpose?
Azana sat upstairs on her laptop, doing a little bit of research and looking for inspiration. She hadn't heard any conversation downstairs, or she would have seen if anyone else had some ideas...

Remy nibbled thoughtfully at a blood lollipop in his room. 'I wonder if vampires get fat...well, wouldn't want to risk it.' he finished the snack and got up, beginning a thai chi practice.

Azana groaned in frustration, leaning back in her chair and looking up at the ceiling. "Since when is this supposed to be so hard...? I've toppled organizations, fought demons...heck, even coming back from the dead has been easier..." Giving up for the time being, she stood up from the computer and stretched, heading downstairs to greet her fiance and find something to do with her time...

After a breif time, Remy grinned. Not even a sweat like it used to draw, perhaps this was due to vampiric strength? He mused for a moment on what Angeles thought being a vampire entailed, and decided a second opinion would be better.
He wandered downstairs, waving to Sosol and Azana. "Hey, do either of you know why vampires are so down about being vampires?"

Sosol waved to Remy with a smile, though he was somewhat disarmed by the question. "I don't know enough of them to have much authority..."
Azana rested her head on her hand, a glass of lemonade already in front of her. "...I might have an idea..." She said absently, staring toward a window. "Vampires, unless killed, basically live forever, right...? Sure, it may be awesome at first...having powers, living a life of excitement...then people start getting older, going grey...dying...and it happens to everyone. But not you. After a while...you realize that's never going to change, and you start to wonder, is it even worth it anymore?"
"Wow, Az...that's...kind of depressing...you've been thinking about it?"
"It just seemed like what would happen...that's all."
