I bought two more Asuka vols yesterday <3 And I think I've found a new place for them (I'm out of room on my usual magazine shelf). I'm rather tempted to try to get the Jan 09 issue and from now on try to get all the issues until the end of the year. Or maybe even try to do something like a subscription if I can find some way to do so without paying too much for every issue. A few bucks every month is not a bad price to pay, but $10+ is.
Edit: Buying them every month at Kino would be awesome, they cost about $6.50... but paying $17.50 for the train fare just for one magazine and maybe 4-5 books is too much D: There aren't enough books coming out eveyr month to warrant monthly trips.
And once I finish my essay, I will definitely check out those new magazines AN is stocking o: Maybe they have some things I need.
Edit: Holy s**t that's expensive. It'd be cheaper to buy them at Kino (train fare included) every month (unless of course I wait for a few months to get them discounted).
Also, when counting the magazine cost and shipping, do you consider the per-item cost or only the order cost? I have a hard time believing that the per-item cost would go up if you're buying two-three magazines instead of one.

Well, for people who don't have the luxury of being able to go to the nearest Kino, or the money to get a subscription, 10.99 seems pretty reasonable. D:
On top of that, they usually don't keep them on the site for too long. (This is kinda unusual for them to have them discounted that low. But we'll have to see what they do now that they got new magazines.) Sometimes I'll be saving up to get the latest one I want, only to have them remove it as soon as I get money. XD;;
My budget on what I spend on manga every month is really low since I don't really have a job.
So if I would have gotten an extra magazine, it would have bumped my shipping from 5-6$ to almost 9$. Yes, it would have been cheaper per item to get two, but I didn't have enough to cover the extra shipping costs.
