Tyler nodded. "Max found the contract ad, but no one's talking about it...the only way we can get in on it is to actually set up a meeting as a candidate."
Max frowned at Tyler, knowing he was withholding information again. "He thinks they've got his memory extractor working, wiping the candidates who don't make it so they don't blab."
"You're the one who came to that conclusion," he shot back with a glare. "Either way, I don't want to put you in the middle of this, Gren. You've got a fiance who's still recovering."

"He does give quite a performance," Azana said, backing up Remy's volunteering.
"And he'd be out of there faster than they could fire on him," Sosol added, remembering Remy's little stunt a few days ago. "The only thing is he'd have to at least have some idea of what everything is and how it works..."
"So we're looking at cheat sheets, telepathy, or actually learning advanced technology in a very short time...but yeah, I could see this working..." Tyler smile turned sinister at the thought of putting a name and a face to this nebulous threat.
I'd love to see some of Azana's spells when they're not locked on me...
"Cute vampire boy it is!" Max said joyfully, scribbling it at the bottom of the paper. "Well, I'll go get started on step one! Later, everyone!" She got up from her seat, dashing upstairs despite her fatigue...just one simple task, then a long night's sleep...

Remy waved his hand. "We can forgo the extensive training, Tyler...I've got some of your memories floating around up here, remember?" he said, tapping his temple. "Happens when my variation drinks a person's blood; we get memories. I can fake it from there."

"Oh...I actually forgot you had," Tyler said, rubbing at the back of his head. "I guess I couldn't have asked for a better undercover agent, then..."
"You...? When did--never mind..." Azana shook her head, standing to head upstairs. "Either way, you guys don't need me right now, and I'd like to get some shut-eye..." She waved to Gren, Remy, and Tyler, but planted a surprisingly passionate kiss on Sosol before heading upstairs.
Memo to myself...don't let a Stoker-brand near my blood...
Sosol blinked, a smile involuntarily crossing his face. What was that for...? Do I even care about the reason at this point? He watched her head up the stairs before looking to the other gentlemen.
"I have a feeling I should follow her."
"Not exactly rocket science, Sol...go on. Until Max gets herself in gear, you're just waiting."

"Perfectly understandable...though I'd prefer to not think about that day," he said, remembering the slight blur in his memory from the painkiller overdose. Of course, there was also the fact that if they had decided to kill him immediately, there would be about six people missing from the Inn's clientele.
As everyone left, leaving the three of them again, he gave a sigh, sipping at the last of his drink. There were so many thoughts running through his head...about his past with Max, his attempt on the GMO, the list of technology, the thought of a memory extractor in the hands of criminals...

"Can't say I blame you." Gren sighed, patting Tyler's shoulder gently. "Don't fret too much about it...things have a way of working out...besides, whatever they're planning, Remy has a point. They rarely expect a vampire attack."
Remy nodded. "Yup! So long as nobody's toting holy stuff, I'm good to go!"
"What if one of them is?"
Remy shrugged. "Then I'll just have to be clever."

Tyler nodded, grinning to the two of them before downing the drink and standing to deposit the glass at the bar for washing the next morning.
I hope they're right, for his sake, he thought, remembering the erased entry...if they had the extractor working, who was to say they hadn't already probed through that file? He shook his head; he had to function with the hope that they hadn't, and work fast enough to make sure they didn't.
"Guess it's my turn...hopefully Max didn't decide to sleep in my room again..." He waved to the pair, taking each stair slowly, the mounting responsibility and burden beginning to feel almost physical...

Gren waved. "Sleep, if you can."
"There's always my room. It's such a nice night out, I should roam around a bit!" Remy smiled, looking out the window.
Gren chuckled, picking up Emily. "Well, don't go too crazy, if you've got an assignment."
"Roger, boss." he laughed, drifting out the door.
Gren smiled, and left to tuck in Emily before returning to the hospital.

Zulma woke up in her bed. Baldur was not there! She raised at once and noticed the panther in his primary form curled on the floor.
She smiled looking at him. She remembered their previous night discussion. He could hear her thoughts but not her dreams, this was a good thing, because she could not dare thinking who he would have seen of her desires towards him or her memories of her past...
She slid from the bed with her cover around her and laid on the floor resting against the panther, slowly caressing its fur, after a moment she felt back asleep.

Baldur purred as he slowly came to be awake again under Zulma's caresses. But the woman had fallen back asleep. He nudged and rubbed his head against her leg before turning over and putting her against his belly in a feline hug and unable to control his instincts began to lick her hair.
Angeles came down the stairs and looked around before she rubbed her temples and groaned slightly trying to think of how to contact Damian while she was still sealed. If he could gather the power of the sun in the sunstone, he could do the same for a moonstone and give it to Remy.

Remy wandered in a few minutes later, going over Tyler's memories. Would what he'd gotten be enough? He'd never tried to actually act upon what he'd learned. Looking up, he smiled. "Oh, good morning!"

Hayabusa was once again, relaxing in Erik's now renified room. He left his scythe this time as he walked down the stairs, his outfit seemed like something he'd normally sleep in instead of the fancy clothes he'd been wearing ever since he got back. The fact was, he was in a daze, half-sleep if you would. He wander to the spot he normally took every day and mumbled something unintelligable. It could be a gretting, who knows.

Angeles looked up at Remy and smiled before glancing at Ultima before walking to Remy and grabbing him and walking him to her corner, devoid of D this morning. She sat down and motioned for Remy to take a seat and touched the two stones on her neck, "your people need to learn to speak more quietly when discussing plans they don't want others to be involved in."
Her expression fell slightly and she moved her fingers from the stones to the table and said, "can you use your magic phone to get Damian over here?"
