"Sosol, I am an idiot. All of this is my fault, Gren's state..." He lowered his voice, leaning forward slightly. "Gren was consulted by my doctor regarding his state. He shouldn't even be on his feet, much less doing all of this for me... I'm killing him..."

"Lies," said Angeles calmly, standing at the base of the stairs, "all of this is my fault. Don't you dare try to take the blame," though her words were strong her voice was soft. Her eyes lingered on MacPere for a moment before she glanced away, but she did not move, she couldn't, not now.

MacPere froze as he listened, hand tightening around the glass. This was the last person he presently wished to hear from.
"Angeles." He simply stated without even a glance, taking another swig of the alcohol.

"MacPere," she replied just as curtly but with a sigh. Emily had attached herself to the vampire's leg, and said vampire was desperately wishing that D had not left so soon. Just like the hunter to get the job done as soon as possible.
"See see? Daddy's back!"

Sosol was about to respond, but Angeles' arrival changed it from a simple conversation to a rather awkward confrontation. Unsure of how to make this any more comfortable, he simply stayed out of it, ready to intervene if anything took a turn for the worst.
Azana folded her arms, knowing that Angeles couldn't do much in her current state, especially around Emily. Still, she knew what the vampire was after, and with D out on an errand, her primary protection was nonexistent...

Zulma entered the Inn with a bright smile at the sight of MacPere. She almost ran to him and gave him a cautious hug.
"You are back! What a pleasure."
The woman's eyes turned to Angeles who seemed not very comfortable. She sighed then smiled at the vampire. "Hello Angeles." She then waved at Emily. "Hi there!"
Then saw Azana and Sosol and greeted them as well with a bright smile.

"Hi~!" said Emily waving back. Angles did not move or respond, continuing to wait for MacPere to do something.
Baldur walked down at the sound of Zulma's excited voice and paused partially because Angeles was blocking his way, the main reason was because Angeles and MacPere were in the same room.
"Oh no," he groaned softly.

"Hey Zulma..." MacPere murmured quietly in reply, returning the hug.
To Baldur's words, MacPere gave a faint smile, silently walking to the stairs whilst refusing to make eye contact with Angeles. Each step gave a low creak under the pressure before he walked to his room, closing the door behind him.
(Goodnight~~ heart heart )

The GMO couple both smiled to Zulma, though they had to force them, given the tension of the current situation. They honestly weren't sure whether Zulma defused any of it or added to it.
"Twenty bucks. Az is gonna zap somebody." Max whispered over her glass, a mischievous glint in her eye at Tyler.
"You'll lose. You're on." Even as he agreed to it, MacPere walked past, quietly making his way up the stairs. He chuckled darkly, shaking his head at Max.
"You have much to learn, grasshopper."
((gotta get home...be back on in about an hour.))

Angeles did not move, listening as MacPere walked past her and up the stairs. The moment his door closed she let out a shaky sigh and almost fell to the ground, tightly closing her eyes and pressed a hand to her chest.
Baldur pushed past her and wrapped his arms around Zulma before glaring at the vampire and growling, "you did this."

Zulma smiled at MacPere. He looked so weak. She followed him with her eyes as he left.
Baldur's arms wrapped around her and she kissed him with a smile. She hugged him tightly and gently pulled away from him. She knew he would be angry, but she was ready to accept it.
She moved to Angeles as the vampire almost collapsed. Without a word, she grabbed the vampire under the armpit and dragged her to the closest chair. "Would anything to drink help you?" she asked standing up next to Angeles. The innkeeper had no clue about what the others did not Angeles so she was at lost regarding the diet of her friend.

"No," said Angeles calmly, gently removing Zulma's hands from her but sat in the chair nonetheless, "it's the curse, blood can't fix it," she reached up and touched the glowing stones of the collar before wrapping her fingers around it. She knew she could not break it, she did not even try, but she wished with all her might that it would be removed soon. There was nothing left for her here.

"I see." answered Zulma without being offended by Angeles moving her hands away. She sighed. "I wish I had been there..." she whispered.
She looked at Baldur who had not moved, she could imagine how furious he was feeling at that moment.

"It was better that you were not," murmured Angeles not looking at the innkeeper directly. The pain slowly ebbed, the attack was not as bad as the last two. She closed her eyes and inhaled then stopped breathing, waiting until the pain of not breathing was worse than the pain in her chest before she exhaled and began to breathe regularly again.

Zulma looked at Angeles and shook her head. She noticed that the vampire was not looking back at her.
"No, it would have been better. In the heat of the action I would have been able to do the necessary...I would have been able to kill you." her voice was very calm as she spoke. "Now I cannot suffer to see you, my friend, in pain." she had a sad chuckle.
"You must be laughing at how pathetic I am..."
