"She's worried about me, huh?" He answered, looking over his shoulder at Remy. The dark circles under his eyes betrayed his sleepless state, though he seemed to be ignoring them or caffeinated enough not to care.
"...I shouldn't have gone to her." He said almost out of nowhere, turning his attention back to the desk and closing the laptop. The room around was untidy, various parts and plans strewn about the bed and the floor. Only the desk itself remained clear, and that was simply for the laptop's benefit. He stood up, avoiding everything with a surprising dexterity before arriving at the door.
"Well, can't leave the primadonna waiting..."
"He told me what he had been up to for all that time...seems pretty remorseful about the whole thing." She sipped her drink, her cheeks already flushed.
"The GMO thing? Yeah...still a bit bitter about that, especially since it's biting me in the a** again," Azana took a sip as well, shaking her head. "I dunno if he told you about the last item on the shopping list...those mafia monsters have a hold of my memory file."
"Oh, that sucks...I'm sorry..."
"If we don't get it back, he definitely will be."

Tyler blinked, looking at Remy. "Hmm...witty retort, honest estimate, or dismissive comment? Eh, not since Max came knocking my door down...then again, I'm not entirely sure I was asleep then..."
He shook his head, an amused smile on his face. "Haven't started hallucinating yet, at least."
"Ya can't mean that, Az...he didn't know this'd happen..."
"He should have deleted them upon reinstatement. Plain and simple."
"...what if there was something he wanted to keep in there...?"
"It's not his to have."
"Yer kinda selfish, ya know that?"

Tyler slid out of the room, closing the door behind him and leaning against it. "My mind won't settle down...if I do get to sleep, I have nightmares," he explained quietly, not wanting to disturb the other rooms. "I've been spending the hours coming up with some new plans, thus the piles of parts in the room. It'll get cleaned up once I'm done..."
"Excuse me?"
"Ohmigod, I thought he was kiddin'...you really don't remember."
"The memory erasure thing. Yeah, I remembered hearing about that...thought it'd be better to stay this way."
"Those're why...he just wants to keep those, since you won't. Think of it like his dumpster divin'...'cept in yer head."

"No comment." Azana smirked, finding Max actually even more pleasant to be around in this state. If everything she was saying was true, and so far she had no reason to doubt the hacker, it did explain a few things...
"You took melatonin? I'm betting that was before the whole nocturnal shift," he commented, stepping down the stairs. "I'd be willing to give it a try...sleep deprivation isn't exactly an asset when it comes to stealing back from the mafia..."

"Just the usual. Why don't you finish that drink of yours? I think you're making Remy nervous..."

Tyler shrugged. "I tried...what is that, anyway?" He asked, pointing to the two glasses.
"The only thing I can make decently...Sol's out on his recon mission to Bella Luna. I doubt they'll be back anytime soon..."
"So we're on our own tonight."
"Basically...I doubt Angeles is in any social mood, and the boys are enjoying being together again."
"Angeles needs to pull the stick outta her a**...and Gren and MacPere can have all the fun they want. So, whattabout us, eh?"

Max let go of Remy, twirling to face the main room. "Oh, a pool table would be amazing! I could win back all that money I took from Ty!"
"Appreciate the thought, but those are my friends you're swindling." Tyler said flatly, though from fatigue or annoyance it was hard to tell. He took a seat. "Whatever you're doing, I'm watching."
"Those're dangerous words," Max warned, a mischievous glint in her eye.
Azana laughed, taking another sip from her glass and envisioning a pool table. She wasn't terribly good at it, but it would provide plenty of time to practice. I wonder if we have any secret pool sharks in here...
