"Hm? Oh! Sorry..." Sosol apologized sheepishly. "It's just been one of those days..." He closed his eyes momentarily, checking on his mental barriers; he was thankful it happened with someone that understanding, it shouldn't have been happening at all.
"I'm surprised you're not even more confident, actually," Max said, finishing off the drink Sol had made for her. "Attractive, fast, strong, kind...you're somethin' else..."

"Better than last night, at least...Stacy was about ready to do some redecorating," he commented, remembering the floating furniture.

"Oh, so she's the one who was floating the furniture? I liked it...Zero g is a lot of fun, if you ask me. Great to sleep in....Ugh, I guess I ought to apologize to her about Eli today...it takes a lot, but once he decides he doesn't like someone, well..." he sighed.
Remy frowned. "She wasn't always like that...She was really nice when I first arrived! Taught me how to control my powers, transform into stuff...we even wound up having a paint fight. It's only recently that she started getting this way, so...so, I know it's not really her."

"You weren't downstairs in the epicenter...Tyler did an amazing job calming her down, though." He smiled, pouring himself something while he watched Remy and Max converse.
"As for Eli...it's the dark side of being so passionate. When you love, you really love...when you hate, you really hate. I'm sure he'll calm down once he's able to have his piece of Chris..."
"So, she just turned into a sourpuss suddenly? Hm...wonder if vamps get PMS..." Max chuckled at the thought, resting her head in her hand as she looked at Remy. "So, yeah...sorry about last night...I wasn't expectin' the charm thing."

"Ah...she's shakin' things up in all the wrong ways...got it." Max polished off the drink, pushing the glass to the edge of the table for Sosol. "I don't know what it was about her, or the place...but I felt like she was looking through me, like at any moment, she was going to say my name..."
"No signs of it yet...she's still bitter with me, as well." He said, remembering her parting shot earlier.

"Part of me knows that...but I still find it a rather harsh reaction. She doesn't even know what happened..." He sipped at some ice water, that moment vivid in his mind. Faced with the choice of proceeding alone or exposing everything...

Remy grinned fangily. "Wow, really? I've never been that good at anything. Max Mouse...why 'mouse'?"
Gren chuckled, downing his shot, capping the bottle as the amber fluid burned on the way down. "No...or maybe she does know, and doesn't care. It's hard to say. I think she's just mad she lost, coupled with that really deep fear that you get when you start really caring about people. So, she's shoving us away and abandoning us before we abandon her."

"Maybe..." Sosol didn't have much to add; Angeles did have something in mind, but she wasn't sharing...
Azana walked in the door with her broom, setting it in the corner and offering a wave as she passed straight through the main room for the stairs.

Max chuckled at Remy, shaking her head with a smile. "You...you're...okay. The truth is...this was a fictional screen name that I borrowed. The first time I had ever heard of a hacker...she was Max Mouse, and while she wasn't a really popular character or anything, she's what got me interested in the whole deal. So, I took up the name in actual cyberspace and made it into what it is today."
She looked at nothing in particular, a nostalgic smile on her youthful face. "I haven't explained it in a while...but I am Max Mouse because of, well, Max Mouse."
"Don't regret it for a second." Sosol smiled back, watching Azana walk upstairs.

Remy smiled warmly. "There's nothing to be laughed at...That's really sweet. Something touched you that much, that you went that far... you must've really cared." (Ego-stroking for the non-OC player now over XD)
"Don't." he smiled, standing up with a stretch. "Doing stuff in the name of love isn't something you should apologize for, when it's like that...speaking of," he said, wiggling his phone, "I'm going to give Eli a ring. see you in the morning, eh?" he smiled, heading up the stairs.
