Alex glanced over at the two and did a double take at the newly exposed skin on MacPere's chest. She soon looked back to her screen with a small shake of her head, her thoughts were her own.

O-ho! And I thought that was a typo... He thought with a triumphant smirk, covering his knowledge with another long sip. "Then four shouldn't be a problem, either," he continued, letting MacPere believe he had slipped past. Whatever his reason, vanity or otherwise, that piece of information would be filed away with the other dirty laundry he eradicated.
"I just feel bad about the whole thing...our first date ending with abduction, a long search, a difficult extraction. It's like a comic book..."

Tyler chuckled, shaking his head. "I wouldn't say that about you, MacPere...I see how the others around here look at you, talk about you. For you to win Azana's trust so easily is already impressive in my eyes. I know how fragile it can be..."
He was silent for a moment, pushing away that memory...it was fresher than ever due to the memory manipulation, and he didn't need all that baggage at the time. At MacPere's offer, he smiled.
"You know I'm not one to accept that, yet you keep pushing it. If I say yes, will you stop?"
((and I've gotta bounce. This is the week of perpetual motion~!))

He flashed a smile, clicking his tongue with a slow blink. "Well, I think you are beginning to see how I tick already, Mr. Hunter... How does 50k sound?"

Stacy sat in her room, cleaning her gun. It had been quiet lately. She hated quiet. It wasn't her style to just sit and do nothing, but considering what they had all just been through, she wasn't about to go out and start trouble.
At least Tyler was safe. She was glad to have the genius around, but she was confused. What were they to each other now? Were they friends? Dating? Something casual? She knew that she liked him. She wouldn't mind dating him. He was a lot like Chris. Maybe too much? Was she still hung up on her ex and using Tyler as a rebound? No, that wasn't it. Tyler was smart and resourceful. He was as intuitive as Chris, but he had a style all his own. He had a certain flair that Chris didn't.
She set her gun down and lay back on the bed. It was something she was going to have to give a lot of thought to, this situation with Tyler. She would have to talk with him about it. Perhaps over drinks and dancing, she thought to herself with a smile.

Alex was still at her computer, apparently the only one there as the others had moved on to something else. She was still working on her book, at the moment though she was procrastinating and playing mahjong.

Alex looked up at the vampire and waved, with the other hand pulling one of the earplugs out of her ears, "hi," she replied flatly, somewhat excited that the vampire was talking to her though her expression remained bored.

Alex didn't react to him not taking the seat beside her and merely answered, "I'm on vacation. But it doesn't really feel like it with my editor breathing down my back, and at the end of the day all I have to do is write," she shrugged, "I was thinking of re-shingling this place tomorrow, seems like it needs it."
