"Don't worry, old bean. I'm sure she'll turn up soon enough. In the meantime, I think I'll go dig Nate out of the bushes and see what disaster he was attempting to create this time." He got up to leave. As soon as he reached the door, Stacy walked in with her usual dazzling smile.
"Speak of the devil," Chris said. "Hello to you, too. Was that Nate out there with a pot on his head?" "I think he was going for pasta this time," Chris nodded as he headed out the door.
Stacy was about to head to the kitchen to grab a bite, but stopped when she saw Tyler. She waved at him and went to join him. "Hi. How are you?"

Tyler stood from the table with Alex, meeting Stacy halfway. "Hey...I'm doing alright. Gren's folks made chowder, if you're hungry," he said, gesturing to the pot and the stack of bowls. "Apparently, it's amazing, though I haven't tried it yet..."
Azana nudged Sosol, pointing toward Tyler with a spoon. "This should be fun to watch..." "Az...give the guy some space." He said, enjoying another spoonful of his chowder. "Okay, I am definitely getting a lesson before she leaves..."

"Why don't we both have some? You could use some good food, maybe some pleasant company. Sol, do we have any white wine?" She went to fix a bowl of chowder.

"I don't think Stella's finished off the stash yet," Sosol joked, concentrating as a bottle made its way to the top of the bar.
Good luck, Ty. He thought with a smile.
"Er, sure," Tyler answered, following behind to get a bowl of his own. "What have you been up to lately? You haven't been around much..." It wasn't much, but he was curious...as long as he could keep her talking about herself, perhaps he wouldn't make a total a** of himself.
Azana snickered quietly to herself. She was happy for the genius, but she still wanted to see him squirm a bit.
((And dammit, I think the boy is bringing over pizza now! I'll try to be on later.))

Fenyx summoned a small computer, looked at it for a few seconds, then un-summoned it. "Looks like the Marketplace only has one scroll of polymorph, and no rings of polymorph. Sadly, the owner of the scroll wants 20 million gold, and my rings of Flagrantia Rubicans, Veris Tempestas Florens, Crystallizatio Tellustris, and Jaculatio Fulgoris only sold for a total of 10 million... I'll see if I can make enough from my amulet of Melodia Bellax can sell before the bid ends, because I don't actually know the polymorph spell, so I can't really make my own ring... Ah, well..."
He then smelled chowder. "Hey, can I have some of that?"
((I have to go... Good night, all))

"It's been quiet around here, lately, and that's like winning the lottery for a cop, especially when she's a superhero. I thought I'd take advantage of it. You weren't worried about me, were you?"
((Have fun and give my regards to the pepperoni.))

Matilda smiled, having a bowl herself. it's turned out well...and she smiled to herself, noting some of the things that seemed to be going on in the place. Very interesting...and some things left unknown. She began making a list; Eliwood might need to know; doubtful her son had said anything.
Gregor emerged with a cheery grin. "Izzat chowder? Til! You make your chowder?" He jogged over and hugged her head before fetching a bowl himself. "All right!"
He looked at Stacy. "H'lo!" he said, before turning back to his bowl.

Alex's eyes slowly opened and blinked a couple of times. Immediately she began coughing and lifted her head from the table, covering her mouth with both hands as her eyes tightly closed. It took about a minute in a half for the coughing to stop and she was gasping for air afterward. She moved her hands away and looked into them as her face faded back to bored. No blood. She cleared her throat and ran a hand through her hair as she looked at the screen of her laptop before looking down at the phone.
On it displayed one missed call. It was its vibrating that had awakened her. She flipped it open and pressed a few buttons before holding it to her ear to listen. She then flipped it closed and saved the eighty pages she had written that night to get her editor off her back. She stood and pocketed her phone and walked towards the door, taking out a cigarette and lighter as she made her way out the door. She was sure that whatever the doctor had to tell her, it was something she already knew.

Matilda frowned, brushing out Gren's hair as he sat on the couch. "Honestly, we really should do something with your hair...the usual look won't do."
He glanced back. "I don't want it cut. I like it this length."
Gregor rolled his eyes, looking at the sports page. "Son, cut us some slack. You decided that you'd get married in nine days."
"Doesn't mean that my hair being shorter's gonna change anything. Just get folks together, buy a lot of flowers, wear a tux and get a judge to sign the certificate after an exchange of vows and rings. Easy."
"As if any son of mine's getting off that easily."
Gren clicked his tongue against his teeth, annoyed. "Fine, you plan it."
"Not even...mine was plenty. The simple way sounds fine; I'll handle details...just, next time, think about it a little more, okay?" she said, pulling it into a tail at the nape of his neck. "That looks nice..."
Gren glanced back. "Think so?"
"It's all right...needs a ribbon."
Gren blinked. "What do you mean, 'next time'..?" he smirked slyly. "No faith in me at all."
Gregor chuckled. "And the people here say you're nice...you ever bother to sass 'em?"
"Never had to...they do it themselves."
Matilda laughed, hugging her son. "You silly thing...I can't believe this is really happening."
Gregor smiled, eyes crinkling kindly at the corners. "All manner of amazing things happen, if you know where to look...now, can I get a bottle of Pippu here?"
"That stuff's not around yet."
"What?!"

MacPere nodded as he spoke into the microphone of his earpiece, flicking through notes on his phone. "Mhm. Yes, the measurements are correct. I'll need them both by the 10th, however, apologies for the short notice... By the 9th instead? Oh wow, thank you..."

Gregor sighed, looking about. Planning a wedding was not something he was made for, and everyone seemed busy. What was an old guy to do? Rubbing his head and frowning, he looked about for some entertainment.

Tyler came downstairs with a yawn, seating himself at his normal table, one of the few uncarved ones around the Inn. It remained messy with bits and pieces, a refurbished GPS device sitting in the eye of the storm. He had been making plenty of progress, though his design was working from memory and he was forced to adapt to the new interface. Despite all that, it gave him something to do rather than thinking too much about life.

Gregor beamed, noting Tyler's entry and where the focus seemed to be. Arranging parties wasn't a skill, but technical stuff was. He walked over, grinning. "Hey guy! Whatcha workin' on?"

Tyler looked over to Gregor, grinning slightly at his interest. "I'm making a new and improved version of something I lent to your son...being without it so long, I've begun to realize how much I relied upon it."
He pushed the drawn designs toward Greg, wondering what his reaction would be. If Gren got his cooking skills from his mother, he had an idea of the source of his technical prowess...well, besides his being from the future.

"Lent him something, huh? Can prolly just go get it back from him. " Gregor looked over the plans, frowning. "What the heck? I've never seen anything like this before...'teleporter'? Wow! I get all of the circuitry, but how the heck is it s'posed to teleport?"
Gregor handed back the plans with an intrigued expression. "Tell me all about this...I've never seen a thing like that."
