Tyler blinked in surprise. "You haven't...?" He looked down at the designs for a moment...this person was from six decades from now, and yet...
"It's a little hard to explain, but I'll do my best," he began, pointing to various parts of the concept design as needed. "It's not so much about what is used, exactly, as to the interaction between various mechanisms. You see, the GPS interface links to this piece over here, then here, and finally over here...each part of the series needs to work at a certain efficiency and needs a lot of calibration before it's ready for general use. As for the theoretical basis behind it, Taylor came up with that a week or so after I finished the original version. Oh, he'd just love to talk to you...he's been thinking a bit about time travel lately."

"Why should I? I fix spaceships, not teleporters. That's for the really sciencey types, though I can make a fine laser cannon." he said with a shrug, listening carefully and watching. "Huh...I get it...kinda like a mini-gate, but instead of a wormhole, it send you direct. Wow."
He looked up. "Taylor?"

Tyler nodded. "That's a better way of explaining it, yes...it just kind of came to me, one of those sleepless nights..."
At Greg's question, he gave a sigh, leaning back in the chair for a moment. "James Taylor...technically, he's my supervisor, though he doesn't do much of that. He also happens to be Az's best friend from childhood...dunno how that happened. They're about as different as night and day."

Gregor nodded kindly. "Sometimes, those are the best kinda nights."
At the concept of Azana, he raised an eyebrow. "There some kinda history around here I'm not getting? I was told what everyone looked like and what they did, but not much else." he said, picking up a widget and looking it over, poking at a wire.

Tyler nodded. "A few of us here work together for the same organization. Myself, Azana, Sosol, Stella, James...did he tell you about Skuld, too? All six of us." Of course, there was a lot more, some of which involved fellow Inn patrons, but he wasn't entirely sure if Greg was interested.

"Don't thank me," Tyler said with a slight chuckle. "It wasn't that difficult, and I already felt like I owed him. I'm sure you'll get to meet the other three between now and the wedding...in fact, it's a certainty. Oh, can you pass me that?" He pointed to a piece on the far end of the table within easy reach of Greg. He could multi-task, right?
((I have to vanish for an hour or two, to finish my last assignment and catch a train.))

"Thanks," Tyler said, checking the wires before trying to attach it where he wanted. "Absolutely positive. I just hope they don't all descend on the place at once. It turns a little chaotic when we're all in the same room."
Then again, that usually only happens in crisis... He thought, testing the connection strength with a nod of approval.

He had been working on it for two solid hours when he pushed away from the table to take a break. Normally, he would be aggravated by someone hovering over him and watching his work, but Gregor seemed to understand a lot better than most others, and he was pleasant company.

A few hours later, Gregor had been napping on the couch, and Gren and Matilda wandered in, looking tired but accomplished. "I think...I think we got it all done..."
"Not quite...I"ll deal with accent-shopping later."
Gren nodded, sitting down with a sigh. Aching feet weren't a favorite of his. "Man...so much footwork."

Yawning as he exited the shower and dressed for an early breakfast meeting with a client, MacPere scribbled out a note as he wrestled on his trousers, leaving it by his beloved's bedside.
Don't worry that beautiful little head of yours about the cake. I think (hope) you'll love what I have planned.

Azana stretched as she came downstairs, a smile on her face. It had been a few calm days, the only activities revolving around an event that was a long time coming. She hummed a tune to herself, tempted to call Stella over for planning...
Tyler waved from his table, having made considerable progress, though it looked nothing like his original. It gave him plenty of time to think, about possible gifts for the two couples, and perhaps one for Stacy, if the two of them could ever decide what was going on between them...

Strolling in with a smile and a whistle, MacPere held a few bouquets in one arm, coat and briefcase in the other. He carefully set down all of his equipment before taking up the arrangement of deep purple, violet and white flowers, handing them over to Azana with a cheek to the cheek. "Miss Brown~ We are looking amazing today as always~"
