I went to the doctor this morning because I thought I cracked a rib from all my coughing. The good news is that I didn't crack a rib. The bad news is that I have pneumonia. The other bad news is that I got a very painful shot in my butt. xp On the bright side, I did lose 4lbs in the last two days from being sick.

Oh dear! sad that's terrible. Am I the only person who has never had pneumonia? I hope that the shot will work it's magic and make you well asap. 3nodding

It was just an antibiotic shot. I was put on two other antibiotics in pill form also. And I was given some super powerful cough medicine, and I still feel like crap. xp It's supposed to take 2 or 3 weeks to recover from. I've ended up missing all of my classes this week. The worst part is that I'm so weak, yet I have to use energy to cough and get the junk out of my lungs. I'm so exhausted! And thanks to my coughing, I haven't been able to sleep in a few days. crying

uh oh, you'll never get better if you don't get your rest. that's when your body heals itself: when you're completely at rest. I know what it feels like to not sleep in days ( due to an overactive baby) but it would be terrible to feel that exhausted AND be ill on top of all that. I'm sorry.

The problem is that the only position I can be in that helps keep me from coughing so badly is sitting up, leaning forward. Unfortunately I can't sleep like that. If I try to lay down or lean back, I start a coughing fit. I wish I just had the flu. That is so much better than this. At least with the flu you can sleep.

yup, this is just for you! oh dear. it's like sleeping on a greyhound bus with a kid behind you kicking your seat....that is terrible. Yeah, the flu would be the lesser of two evils. nyquil and gravol usually makes me fall asleep when it seems impossible.

It's mostly the coughing that's bothering me. I'm having the hardest time getting it up out of my lung. However, the coughing has made my muscles ache and has bothered my throat. I can't breathe like I should, so taking pills is especially hard. On the bright side, I don't have fever anymore, and I am slowly regaining my strength. I'm on the right path, but it's going to be very miserable until I completely recover.

I feel like a bad captain right now. I still haven't done anything with the tektek contest yet. xp But rest assured, I am on the mend. And I will get the judging taken care of soon.

Thank you! heart I've been feeling a little bit better every day. The fact that I can actually sleep at night has helped quite a bit. My main problem now is my constant hacking cough. I still have to carry a towel around with me in case I cough so hard I throw up again. xp But I am planning on going back to my classes tomorrow. I have missed a whole week's worth of classes. And about my avi, I didn't want to mope around all the time. Plus, I wanted to show a happy face now that I'm recovered enough to actually do some homework.

well every small accomplishment deserves a celebration! not that you getting better enought to study is small! It's quite granduous in fact!

I just wish I weren't so far behind. I have to play catch-up with a buttload of homework, and I'm still not completely well yet. xp

I'm gald my Chibi is getting better. If your throat is still sore, try making some hot tea, and two tablespoons of honey. That should help a lot. I was having to almost live on it for a while. I came down with tonsilitis. I hate penicillin shots. crying

Thanks, but it isn't my throat that's bothering me. It's the junk down in one of my lungs. Pneumonia is a bit harder to cure than the common cold. xp But I am recovering. I just hope that I don't cough so hard I throw up in class. I've done it at home this week many times. sweatdrop (One time, I coughed so hard that I threw up and peed myself at the same time.) xp
