MacPere gave a bit of a blink as he arrived in the middle of the upstairs hall, hearing Stella's voice downstairs. He rubbed a hand over his face in shame of defying of his fiance in such a way, but he was permission, wasn't he?
With a quiet sigh, he trudged to the apartment, leaving the aspirin for later.

Alex blinked as the woman that entered and began apologizing could only be the one they were waiting for. At her finishing comment Alex looked out the window, then down at her phone to check the time. It was hardly night. She slipped her phone back into her pocket when it began to buzz. She flipped it open and held it to her ear.
"Hello? Hello Sister Natalie. I'm fine, you? Yeah," Alex paused then sighed, "yeah sure. I'm busy tonight and there's a wedding on the eleventh, other than that I'm free. Yeah. Tomorrow then. Alright, take care," she hung up with a heavy sigh and rubbed her eyes before pinching the bridge of her nose. This was going to be hard to explain.

"All right!' he beamed. "We all here? Then let's go!" He felt a bit bad, not seeing his sweetheart...probably recovering at home in bed...he smiled warmly. "Allons-y!"

Alex blinked and held up a finger trying to think of a protest. the only one she could think of was 'age before beauty,' but that wasn't a very kind one so she lowered her finger and walked out of the door.

With a sigh, MacPere descended the stairs, refreshed yet still in pain. He was going to need an overdose of aspirin to get over this hangover...

"Well, I'm glad~" He smiled, downing the aspirin with a gulp of water. "Just about... I had to break in to get in and my mother, whom of which I forgot was lodging there, thought me a burglar and hit me with a vase. I'm alright though~"
